He is a Blue Tongue Skink, a bit different from the cats and dogs we usually see!

But many of these are toxic to dogs.
Avoid lilies, azaleas, oleander, sago palms, and poinsettias.

Poisoning symptoms include vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, or difficulty breathing.
Keep plants out of reach from your furry pups and know what's in your home for reference.

This weeks BRAVE awards go to:

Bella was a super BRAVE girl yesterday under going surgery and having 5 lumps removed off of her body.
Not only is she super sweet, she handled this like a trooper being on her best behaviour and letting the nurses know she was appreciative with all those kisses.
Poor Bella is not enjoying wearing her cone.

Little Sapphire is owned by our Nurse Ashleigh who earlier in the year not only battled glaucoma in her eye which is a serious and painful medical condition but after 2 weeks of exhausting all treatment options she then had to have her eye surgically removed, afterwards she was also hospitalised for a week for severe pancreatitis.
It was a tough month for the little girl!
Recently she celebrated her 17th birthday so she is truly a BRAVE and strong little patient and well deserving of this award.
