Maple Park Farm Glamping Farm Stay & Equestrian Event Centre located in Central Victoria just 45 minutes from Melbou

Equestrian facilities include 70x30m sand arena, stables, day yards, steel round yard and we have coming shortly a 40x20m indoor arena with waxed fibre surface. We even have accommodation for our horses human friends to stay with them!

It's a duck 🦆 😀😀😀

For those who haven't been playing along, we've been on 'chuckling' watch as Mrs Duck has been sitting on a mix of chicken and duck eggs. So instead of the normal gender reveal, we have a species reveal 😂

And here's hoping for some siblings still to arrive - beaks or bills, we'll take them all ☺️

Here at Maple Park we are on "chuckling" watch! Mrs Duck has been clucky for about 3-4 weeks and sitting very intently - actually bites if you just try to put some feed in for her!
The hens had no respect for her nesting box though, so now she is sitting on a combination of chicken and duck eggs.........as such we have no idea what, or how many of each we may end up with, and covers her nest very thoroughly when she does get briefly off - hence, chucklings 😂

And further to the story, Mrs Duck is the sole 🦆 survivor of our fox incident last year. But with the new boyfriend we found for her (who has bonded quite well with the chickens now he is temporarily on his own), is hopefully forging a new duck generation for us 😊

Our current crop of retired Mr Roos........I'm naming the one on the left 'Lazarus' - he was lying prone, unmoving beside one of our glamping tents this morning so I pronounced him dead. Went up this afternoon to remove the body only to find him a paddock away sitting up watching me quite happily 😂

Coming home this afternoon I heard a thud on the veranda roof. Turned around to see Pete, the King Parrot, doing a contortionist act to stand on the roof while twisting his neck around to look at me upside down under the roof 😂
Hadn't seen Pete around for a while, and he bought a Pete jnr along with him, he wasn't quite as flexible though
