As part of National Volunteer Week (May 18–24), we’re celebrating the incredible volunteers across CANA member organisations who make a difference for people and pets in their communities. 💙
Today, we’re recognising Carli Corry, a dedicated volunteer with SAFE Inc in WA.
Behind the scenes, Carli has played a key role in transforming SAFE’s previously cluttered shed, office and store room into clean, organised spaces that are easier for volunteers and foster carers to navigate.
Her work has helped create clearer visibility of available supplies, improve stock management and strengthen accountability across the team.
Carli has also led volunteer day groups, bringing people together to contribute to these changes and helping ensure the spaces remain practical, organised and sustainable for ongoing use.
“Volunteering with SAFE has given me a real sense of purpose. For me, it’s about creating spaces and systems that make it easier for everyone to do what they do best — caring for animals. When things are organised and running smoothly, it supports both the people and the animals, and that flow makes a big difference,” she said.
Thank you, Carli, for the care, energy and organisation you bring to SAFE and for embodying this year’s National Volunteer Week theme, Your Year to Volunteer. 🐾
