Excited to see what this trio make.. might not look like much, but Teddy has all the hallmarks I can find mentioned online for strong pencilling genetics and has the complementary light ground colour that my Jethro had. Hes very young, so a way to go yet to see how he matures, and how that translates to pencilling on the girls he makes, and where I can go from there.. I have a beautifully dark partridge cockerel (his name is Rooster) that I can use to up the melaniser later, but for this season, this trio are working to lighten ground colour and see if we do in fact have strong pencilling behind his boys unusual phenotype... 🤔
These three are all very young, just barely out of the longest molt ever, its been a very blustery day, and theyve just been called in from dustbathing in the grass clippings 😅

Hmm.. something is changing in the herd.. Smokey seems to be in and out of exile(?).. he's been spending a lot of time hanging with these two possum peckers.. whilst Bandit and Mack are way off grazing shoulder to shoulder.. 🤨 Smokey & Bandit are thoroughly bonded, its always been Mack on the outskirts with the donks.. whilst Smokey has always been the confident cheeky one, the one you assume is in charge, but Bandit, the quietest, the biggest, usually has the last say in all things, just to be done with the drama.. Im wondering if theyre are a bit tired of Smokes being bossy.. he can be hard on Mack sometimes... anywho, I think Mack needs his own bestie.. just saying..
