🐾 Are your dog's nails still scratching you after a groom? 🐾

Ever wondered why your dog's nails can still feel sharp, even after I've clipped them? 🐶

✂️ Here's why!

Nail clippers shorten the nails, but they can leave behind sharp, rough edges. So even though your dog's nails are freshly trimmed, they can still scratch your skin!

💅 That's where nail filing comes in!

I offer an optional nail filing add-on for just $10!

Using a Dremel nail grinder, I gently smooth and round off those sharp edges, leaving your dog's nails with a much softer, smoother finish.

🐾 Less scratching on your skin

🐾 Smoother nail edges

🐾 A lovely finishing touch to your dog's groom!

❤️ Just ask me to add nail filing to your dog's next grooming appointment!

🐶✂️ Summer Shave Downs & Grumpy Old Dogs! ☀️⛈️

Today was all about getting the dogs ready for summer with nice, short, practical grooms!

Apparently, the storm had everyone waking up on the wrong side of the dog bed today! 😂🐾

I had to muzzle all but TWO dogs today! 😳 I think every dog that walked through the door had their cranky pants on!

Lots of grumbling, protesting and very unimpressed little faces. 🤣 Thankfully, we got through the day with everyone looking fresh and ready for the warmer weather!

Some days you're a dog groomer, other days you're negotiating with tiny, furry dictators! 😂❤️

🐾 A Little Update from Lexi 🐾

I just wanted to let my clients know that Dani will no longer be grooming from my salon.

Although our time working together was shorter than anticipated, I genuinely wish Dani all the very best with her future endeavours. ❤️

Sometimes things don't work out quite as planned, and that's okay. We all have different circumstances, commitments and goals, and sometimes those paths simply head in different directions.

I would like to thank Dani for the time she spent with me and wish her nothing but success moving forward.

Kristy will still be working as my assistant, and hopefully in the new year she will be able to assist me with the grooming as well.

🐶 What does this mean for existing bookings?

All clients who currently have appointments booked with Dani will be transferred over to me.

However, as I already have an established appointment schedule, some bookings may need to be moved back by approximately one week to accommodate everyone.

For the next two weeks, I may also be grooming later than usual, as I have not been able to reschedule some of Dani's grooms. With Kristy by my side, we should be able to get everyone groomed and have bookings back to normal by December.

I will be contacting affected clients individually to discuss any necessary changes and appreciate your patience and understanding while I work through the appointments.

My priority is to make this transition as smooth as possible, with minimal disruption to my clients and their beautiful dogs. ❤️

The business name will be reverting to Lexi's Dog Grooming in 60 days and I will no longer be looking for another groomer. I will continue caring for your dogs personally and look forward to welcoming you all under the business name you know and love.

Lexi's Dog Grooming will continue operating as usual, providing the same love, care and quality grooming you've come to expect from me.

Thank you all for your continued support, understanding and kindness. It really does mean the world to me. 🐾💕
