🐾💙 Let’s welcome Kev to the Happy Hound Crew! 💙🐾

Kev is a very special boy! I took him to his owners’ wedding to get some special photos of him being part of their big day. 💍🥰

He tried his absolute best to stay still for the photos, but he was SO excited about everything happening around him! 😂🐶 We still managed to get a couple of cute photos though! ❤️

I had started taking Kev on a few walks before the wedding so we could build a little bond, and now I get to continue taking him on his solo walks. 🐾

We’ve definitely got a cute little bond, and I’m so happy Kev is now officially part of the Happy Hound Crew! 🐶💙

🐾💙 4 Years in Cairns… What a Journey! 💙🐾

4 years ago today, I took a big leap and moved Happy Hound Adventures from Hervey Bay to Cairns.

I had built such a successful business in Hervey Bay, so starting again somewhere new was honestly a little scary. I didn’t know if people in Cairns would trust me with their beloved pets and homes or if my little business would grow the way it had before.

The first couple of months were quiet. I was only doing a few walks a week and the occasional overnight stay. Then suddenly, everything changed! The messages started coming in, bookings picked up, and before I knew it, I was so busy that I had to start creating group adventures so I could make sure all my pups got the walks and fun they deserved. 🐶🐾

My overnight stays started booking out months in advance, visits became a regular part of my days, and Happy Hound Adventures just kept growing.

Over the last 4 years, I’ve also stepped outside my comfort zone and introduced new services, including Wedding Pet Chaperoning. 💍🐾 That was a big step for me, but seeing how successful it has become and being able to help pups be part of their parents’ special day has been absolutely amazing.

Today, I’m incredibly proud to have over 50 loyal clients and their beautiful pets who trust me to care for their homes, look after their pets, and take their dogs on adventures.

To those who have been with me from the very beginning — thank you for sticking with me. To all my newer clients — thank you for choosing me. Every booking, recommendation, message and wagging tail has helped make this journey possible. 🥹💙

I never imagined, 4 years ago, just how much Happy Hound Adventures would grow here in Cairns.

🏠 Once or Twice Daily Home Visits
Perfect for pets who don’t need overnight care. I can visit once or twice a day for walks, feeding, playtime, medication, fresh water and plenty of cuddles.

💍 Wedding & Engagement Pet Chaperone
Let your beloved pet be part of your special day! I can transport them to and from your wedding or photo shoot, keep them safe and comfortable, assist with photos and make sure they’re cared for throughout the day.
