🐴 Post-Foaling Health Checks – Giving Your Mare and Foal the Best Start 🐴

A thorough post-foaling examination is essential to ensure the ongoing health of both mare and foal. Our vets can visit your property to provide a complete assessment within the crucial first 12–36 hours after foaling.

This includes:
• Foal IgG blood test on site to confirm adequate transfer of antibodies
• Checking the foal has passed its meconium and assessing for any hernias or limb deformities (angular or flexural)
• Examining the mare to ensure she is healthy, comfortable, and free of retained membranes

Early detection of any issues allows for prompt intervention, improving outcomes for both mare and foal.

We are super excited to officially be up and running in our new purpose built veterinary hospital and artificial breeding facility at 24 Forrest Court, Holbrook.

Forrest court is your last right hand turn off the main street heading north out of town just before the Wagga road overpass of the Hume Freeway.
