🎉 A New & Upgraded Training Curriculum is Coming! 🐾

Over the next couple of months, K9 Socialisation & Training will be introducing a brand new curriculum designed to give you and your dog a clear pathway to continue learning and progressing.

Rather than repeating the same group classes, you’ll now be able to work your way through different levels, building on the skills you’ve already learnt.

🐶 Choose your starting point:

🎓 Puppy Preschool (8–16 weeks)
A fun and safe environment where puppies can build confidence, learn appropriate social skills, and begin their training journey.

🐕 Level 1
Our foundation obedience course, covering all the essential skills every dog and owner need to succeed.

From there you can continue your journey through:

✨OPEN CLASSES - After finishing Level 1 you can come back weekly, fortnightly or monthly to practice all your skills. Simply only committing to one session at a time.

⭐ Level 2 – Building reliability, increasing distractions, and introducing new skills such as Place.

🏆 Level 3 – Advanced obedience, real-world reliability, and taking your dog’s training to the next level.

Smaller classes mean every team receives individual coaching while still enjoying the benefits of training in a controlled group environment.

Once you’ve completed Level 1, you’ll be able to book into our new Open Training Classes.

These sessions are designed for dogs and owners who simply want to come along and practise everything they’ve learnt in a structured, controlled environment with trainer support.

✔️ Book only when it suits you
✔️ No 4-week commitment
✔️ A great way to maintain and improve your training between courses

These classes will work similarly to our Settle Sessions and Walking Skills classes—simply book into the session you want to attend and pay as you go.

📅 Current Bookings

If you’re already booked into a group training course, don’t worry! Those classes will continue with the current curriculum as planned.

The first class to launch with the new Level 1 curriculum will be our Saturday 29th August, 8:00am group. After that, I’ll announce dates for Puppy Preschool, Level 2, Level 3, and our new Open Training Classes.

I’m incredibly excited to offer a program that allows dogs and their owners to continue growing, learning, and challenging themselves without having to start from the beginning each time.

What a beautiful day we had with our Wednesday small dog crew! ☀️

It was one of those days where everything just clicked. The dogs were calm, happy, and enjoyed spending time with their friends. We chased plenty of tennis balls 🎾, soaked up the sunshine with a bit of sunbaking 🌞, and had lots of fun exploring and playing together.

It’s always so rewarding to see everyone relaxing, making good choices, and enjoying each other’s company. Days like today are exactly what daycare is all about—safe socialisation, enrichment, exercise, and plenty of happy tails! 🐶💛

We can’t wait to do it all again next week!

Is walking your dog starting to feel more like they’re walking you? 😅

Join us on Saturday, 15th August at 9:30 AM for our Walking Skills Session, where we’ll teach you the foundations of calm, enjoyable walks.

During this session you’ll learn:

Another fantastic Tuesday Doggy Daycare is done! 🐾☀️

Today’s mixed-size group had an absolute blast! The weather couldn’t have been more perfect—cool in the shade, warm in the sunshine, and just right for a day full of fun.

We spent the day chasing toys, making new friends, hanging out with our best mates, and, of course, enjoying plenty of yummy treats throughout the day! 🦴🐶

Roy joined us again today, and it was great to see him catching up with his old mates, Coke and Pepsi. They were so excited to see each other again and wasted no time getting back into playing together! ❤️

Overall, it was a fantastic day filled with happy dogs, wagging tails, and lots of fun. We love seeing friendships grow and pick right back up where they left off.

We can’t wait to do it all again tomorrow! 🐾

Our Monday Group smashed it again today! 👏🐶

Today was our third session, and I couldn’t be happier with everyone’s progress.

We started the class by practising our walking skills and heeling, before moving into some obedience commands. It’s amazing to see everyone’s hard work starting to come together.

A few standout achievements from today:

🏈Augie is becoming much less reactive and is staying much more focused on Mum, even around distractions.

🌸Luna is settling much quicker and is showing fantastic attention towards Mum throughout the session.

📚Little Teddy is doing an awesome job learning to control that busy puppy brain while picking up new skills every week!

It’s so rewarding watching both the dogs and their handlers grow in confidence each session. Keep up the fantastic work everyone! 💙

Getting your dog to stay calm, ignore distractions, and not react to everything around them is something I see many owners struggle with.

That’s exactly why I designed this unique and very different style of dog training class.

This class isn’t about constantly moving or running through obedience exercises. It’s about learning to slow down and do nothing.

Together, we’ll work on building:
🐾 Impulse control
🐾 Calmness
🐾 Voluntary focus on you
🐾 Neutral behaviour around people and other dogs

One of the most valuable life skills a dog can learn is how to settle and relax outside of the home. So many dogs are always encouraged to “go, go, go,” but very few are actually taught how to switch off, regulate their emotions, and simply exist calmly in the world around them.

This class is also a fantastic step in your dog’s socialisation journey. Socialisation isn’t about meeting every person or dog they see. It’s about teaching your dog that other people and dogs exist, and they don’t need to be worried, excited, or react to them. They can simply acknowledge what’s around them and choose to stay calm and focused on you.

If your dog gets super excited, becomes anxious, wants to greet every person or dog they see, or simply struggles to switch off when they’re out and about, then this class is for you.

Our Settle Session provides a relaxed, supportive environment where we’ll help teach you how to teach your dog to be calm, ignore distractions, and enjoy peaceful moments together—even in the presence of other people and dogs.

🐾 Another successful Settle Session! 🐾

Today was our second Settle Session, and I couldn’t be happier with how everyone did! 🎉

As with any new class, there’s always a bit of trial and error while finding what works best. We made a few changes to the structure of today’s session, and it made a huge difference. The class flowed much more smoothly, and the improvements were fantastic to see.

Today’s focus was teaching dogs how to:
🐶 Settle calmly on their mat.
🐶 Stay relaxed while being released from the mat.
🐶 Remain settled while distractions moved past them.
🐶 Build confidence as other dogs and handlers walked around them.

Every dog made great progress and learned the foundations of settling in public environments. More importantly, their owners now have the skills and tools to continue practising at home and out in the community.

Remember, settling is a skill that takes consistency and practice. It won’t happen overnight, but today’s class has given everyone a solid foundation to build on.

A huge congratulations to everyone who attended—you all did an amazing job! 👏🐾

What a fantastic Week 2 of group training! 🐾👏

Today we worked on:
🐶 Down
🐶 Stay
🐶 Wait
🐶 Recall

Everyone picked up the cues incredibly quickly, and it’s been so rewarding watching each team progress.

🐾 Kane is well and truly in his teenage phase, where listening suddenly becomes… optional! 😅 We chatted with his owners about some strategies to help them work through this stage, so they can come out the other side with all of Kane’s foundations still strong and reliable.

⭐ Miss Abby absolutely smashed her down today! She was an absolute superstar and should be very proud of herself.

🐾 Hank also did an amazing job. One of the biggest wins today was seeing his excitement when I approached become much calmer. That’s exactly what we’re aiming for, and it’s wonderful to see that progress.

🐾 Tilly the Cattle Dog learnt a new recall exercise today that should help her better understand what her recall cue means. She worked really well and picked it up beautifully.

I’m so proud of every dog and owner in today’s class. The progress you’re all making each week is fantastic, and it’s great to see all your hard work paying off.
