Training isn’t always perfect, there is bloopers, moments of “what am I doing, but how can I fix it” there is also moments of pure chaos! But if you are persistent and keep striving to be better, for you and your dog, you will get your desired result. Not without the failures tho, but those failures turn into the “look what my dog can do”, I’ve achieved this with my dog”, the happy moments of pure joy when your dog and you finally hit the trick, Or nail their obedience or recall! It’s all worth the process you just have to trust it!

But the big question - why should you trust me? To some Im just another dog trainer, but what sets me apart from others is you can see my dogs (all6 of them) have manners, boundaries, they can be taken anywhere and not be a bother, they can also come to classes and show you the ropes of a trained dog, and yes you will see them BE DOGS, they bark sometimes, they do silly things but they are only dogs, not robots! But when they need to switch on the are there, mentally, physically and they actually want to work & do their skills for me, not because I’ve forced them to, or not because they only want food.. and this is what I can teach you!

If you try something once and give up because it “didn’t work” or you have tried everything you can but no results, truth is you havnt tried hard enough.

Dogs are like sponges and when trained with the right methods for that particular dog, the possibilities are endless 🤩

This is why I love training so much and helping others achieve their goals with their dogs 🥹

We get asked ALL the time how our dogs coats are so soft, and they smell amazing! It’s not because they get washed every day (totally the opposite) but it’s because of their diet!!

Diet matters more so with our working dogs, because we need them to be at top performance while doing their important roles of therapy or assistance work. So if they are happy & healthy and fueled well on the inside they are incredible on the outside & in their performance 💪

Happy birthday to our little pocket rocket, hurricane Hollea 🌀
While you don’t do as many therapy visits as the others in our crew, you make your presence at activity events with your endless energy!

You are the smartest dog I’ve ever met, the dog that makes the most out of life to be the silliest dog possible but I wouldn’t have you any other way! You have taught me more patience but also that you really do need to train the dog in front of you as not all dogs are the same!

Affectionately known as the “burp*e dog” by the school kids and “Hurricane Hollea” by others 🐾

Expressions of interest for our beautiful little Bugs. 🐰

Bugs has remained with us for training to become a life changing dog, and after careful consideration it is now time to start searching for his new person to continue his training, build the bond & share his amazing little self & abilities.

We would like to find him a home where his training will be continued to potentially become an assistance dog for a child (or adult) who’s main purpose is to provide an exceptional amount of love, physical touch, DPT, along with being there every step of the way through life, plus his intelligent brain is very capable of learning anything.
He would also thrive in a therapist office or similar, providing love & cuddles as a therapy dog to a small scale group of people.

He has already had a lot of training, exposure & life experience in his short 21 weeks in our world however still needs to continue his training to be the best boy he can be, and be the dog he was bred for 🥰

Ongoing training help from me is also available.

He is a very special little soul! Very calm, and highly trainable, he is the sweetest dog you will ever meet, and he thinks he will fit in your lap forever!

We've been quiet on social media, but not in real life! Our teams are back in school this term, ready to spread love, joy, and positivity, along with lots of learning. Our therapy dogs in training are also doing incredibly well! A lot goes into training our dogs to ensure safety, wellbeing, and enjoyment for all are maximized. It's not just a short course where they tick boxes; they have to prove (both dog and handler) that they can be a good team, work under pressure, and have the adequate skills to be classified as a fully trained therapy dog team. A lot of work goes on behind the scenes 🐾.

It’s nearly time for Fraser Coast Regional Council’s Dogs Day Out!!

While this event is going to be super fun & amazing here is a few pointers for you and your dog for the day..

🐾 be prepared - bring water for them, poo bags and even a towel so they can go for a cool off swim in the water after 💦
🐾 try to toilet them before coming over to the park so there is less chance of dogs just p*eing everywhere
🐾 try and keep your dogs in the shade where possible if it’s hot!! 🔥
🐾 don’t stand close the fences with your dogs, while dogs are in the stage area doing demos
🐾 be prepared to take your dog home if they start to get too hot or anxious, read your dogs body language and if they feel uncomfortable be a good dog owner and respect their feelings. Don’t just stay because you havnt seen everything or your talking to friends.. your dog matters!

What not to do
❌ don’t just let your dog go up to others, whilst it’s a day for dogs and most that will be there should be friendly social dogs, it is very overwhelming even for the most friendly dogs so just be considerate of others and your own dog
❌ don’t have your dogs on long lines or retractables!! Short leads are great, you will have full control and you’re not going to be tripping anyone up with your giant lead!
❌ Don’t let your male dogs p*e on stallholders items & signs!!! Watch them carefully!!!

❌❌ please don’t take your dog if they are anxious in new environments! Or at least watch from afar so the can still see but don’t get too overwhelmed!

It’s going to be a great day so be prepared & considerate of your dog & others and it will be smooth sailing 🐾
