Canine Therapies Warrnambool

Canine Therapies Warrnambool Canine Therapies Warrnambool aims to help your dog to live a happier, healthier, pain free life 🐾 All in a controlled, supportive environment.

Set in a brand new, purpose build facility, Canine Therapies Warrnambool is a unique home based business that has been designed to offer specialist care to meet the needs of local dog owners. This is achieved by providing complementary therapies for dogs who are recovering from surgery or injury, suffering the effects of arthritis and aging and for those wanting increased fitness or to lose weight

. The hydrotherapy service uses the benefits of an underwater treadmill to provide regular treatments, using the therapeutic properties of warm water to improve a dog's range of motion, strengthen muscles and improve endurance, all while reducing pain and risk of injury. The laser therapy service provides a painless and non-invasive therapeutic procedure that has been demonstrated to relieve both chronic and acute pain, via photobiomodulation, by stimulating the involved tissues and nerves. This increases the speed of tissue repair by increasing local circulation, stimulating the immune system and reducing inflammation and therefore pain. Both services are an effective form of medical treatment for a range of conditions. Please contact us today to see how your pet can benefit from the services on offer.

Meet Jaz 🐾

This senior girl started out with us doing regular hydrotherapy sessions and occasional laser therapy sesssions as recommended by Dr Claire Wade from WadeVet πŸ€—

Unfortunately Jaz had some medical issues arise which affected her ability to use our underwater treadmill so now she comes to us for regular laser therapy sessions and loves it 🌞

It may not be so much the actual laser therapy itself but rather the copious amount of treats that Jaz receives during her session πŸ˜‹

These sessions, as well as regular body work from Dr Claire Wade, is keeping Jaz mobile and active as she continues into her senior years, making memories with her family and enjoying every minute of her full and happy life πŸ’•

We look forward to seeing you and your giant bag of treats at your next session miss Jazzy πŸ„β€β™€οΈ

Meet Archie 🐾

This gorgeous senior lad is coming to us for regular hydrotherapy sessions to assist with building strength in his hind limbs as he ages πŸŠβ€β™‚οΈ

While initially very nervous and cautious of his surroundings he has developed confidence lately and loves nothing more than getting lots of love, and treats, from his dedicated mum during his sessions πŸ•

We always look forward to seeing Archie each week and helping him not only to build strength to sustain him as he gets older but also to build his confidence to enjoy life to the full πŸ€— Go Archie πŸ˜€

Meet Paddy 🐾

This gorgeous, smoochy girl has an amazing story to tell! Incredibly, only a few short months ago, she was suffering from a condition called polyradiculoneuritus, which causes extreme paralysis, with all 4 limbs being affected πŸ•

Paddy's amazing mum and dad, who love her unconditionally, put months of effort into helping her to manoeuvre around the house to toilet outside and find comfortable resting places while she healed... she really is an incredible story of success, needing love, patience and rest and a comfy spot to roll on her back πŸ€—

Paddy has now almost completed her course of hydrotherapy sessions with us, to assist with strengthening her weakened limbs and allow her more independent mobility πŸŠβ€β™‚οΈ

As you can see, she's doing fabulously well, due to the commitment of her adoring mum and dad and we wish her all the best in her journey forward and hope that you'll all come back to see us some time πŸ’• Enjoy that big, wide world Paddy, and especially your beloved beach πŸ„β€β™€οΈ

Meet Macie 🐾

This gorgeous girl came to us last year with some front limb lameness in both her left and right sides from two different injuries πŸ’•

She started regular hydrotherapy sessions with her dedicated family committing to improving her mobility and we are very pleased to say that she has made a full recovery and is back to her usual, playful self πŸŠβ€β™‚οΈ

Macie's family have recognised the benefits of regular hydrotherapy and she now attends every few weeks for maintenance walks in our underwater treadmill to keep her moving well, which keeps her joints lubricated and her body strong... and helps with a tiny bit of weight loss! πŸ€—

We look forward to seeing Macie and her beautiful family at her next session very soon πŸ•

P.S. Macie is modelling a very special coat donated to us via a very special past client who was mum to gorgeous Taine, a beautiful Kelpie who also had front limb lameness and benefitted from both laser therapy and hydrotherapy with us until he could no longer cope with the journey to and from here. Taine has since crossed the rainbow bridge but he and his beautiful mum will always be part of our Canine Therapies family 🌈

Meet Logan πŸ• and also farewell to Logan 🌈

This extremely handsome fellow started regular hydrotherapy sessions with us towards the end of 2025 and faced every day he arrived at our centre with enthusiasm and joy, and just a little bit of fear! πŸŠβ€β™‚οΈ

While his extremely dedicated parents did everything they could to improve his decreasing mobility, sadly Logan left our world just after Christmas following a few bouts of pneumonia that he just couldn't shake despite much love and care and veterinary intervention πŸ’”

Logan featured in our Christmas post and we looked forward to introducing him in the new year as he's our first Irish Setter we've treated, but sadly the universe had other plans for him. He'd been an extremely loved member of his family for almost 14 years and will be really missed by all who were lucky enough to know him, especially his dear Dad πŸ’•

We'd like to hope that our sessions gave him some comfort in his final weeks and that he enjoyed the outings with his wonderful family. Rest peacefully dearest Logan, you're one in a million buddy 🐾 🌈

Meet Bruiser πŸ•

This handsome lad has been visiting with us for regular hydrotherapy and laser therapy sessions for a few months now and just reached an amazing milestone earlier this month, yes... he just turned 17 years of age!! πŸ’•

Bruiser is being treated with conservative management for Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD), as surgery is not an option for him at his grand age. His dedicated family are constantly on hand to help Bruiser when he needs it, throughout the day, and the long nights to keep him as mobile and pain free as possible 🏑

He has suffered a couple of set backs with his hind limb mobility recently which now has him using wheels at home, he took to them immediately and loves zooming around the house, especially with the younger members of his family assisting πŸ‘©β€πŸ¦½

Bruiser is in excellent hands for the time he has left with us and his family will stop at nothing to keep him as mobile and happy as possible. We very much look forward to seeing you at your next session Bruiser and keep up your sassy ways, your family adore you πŸ€—πŸΎ

Rest peacefully dearest Charly 🌈

We recently had to say goodbye to one of our special girls whose dedicated mum had been bringing her for regular hydrotherapy and laser therapy sessions for over 2.5 years πŸŠβ€β™‚οΈ

Charly developed a degenerative spinal issue in late 2022 and started with us in February 2023. She was a model patient, always friendly and accepting of all the treatments we threw at her and always with a smile and tail wags πŸ•

Her super dedicated mum was there through it all, while we maintained Charly's strength and mobility for a long time, sadly the degenerative nature of her condition meant it was always going to beat us eventually πŸ’•

While Charly's ability to get around independently waned, her mum's dedication became even more committed and she assisted Charly in every way possible, getting her some wheels to get around on walks and at home, but Charly hated them, only trying to walk with them when treats were on hand πŸ‘©β€πŸ¦½

Then a pram was offered and Charly took to this better, enjoying daily evening walks last summer with her sister Tiny 🌞

As her ability to hold herself up waned even more, Charly would be carried everywhere by mum, personally I think this was her favourite as she loved her mum's cuddles and when her ability to walk or swim in the underwater treadmill disappeared, she still came to us for laser therapy sessions to keep her joints and muscles comfortable πŸ€—

Charly's demeanor and determination were an absolute pleasure to have here on a weekly basis, and she would bring huge smiles to every session. We'll miss her happy go lucky attitude, never complaining about the lot she'd been dealt in life and always having a smile on her happy little cavalier face πŸ˜‹

We'll miss the long conversations with mum, always enthused about her next writing or home project and Tiny's support both from the front of the treadmill or from the car πŸš—

Rest peacefully dear Charly, you'll be dearly missed but we part knowing that you loved a full and happy life supported by your very committed mum who would move mountains for you and who is missing you so muchπŸ”πŸŒˆ
