Aussie aviculturist home based business in the Clarence Valley, lovingly hand rearing canaries & small parrots🦜🐦 Also creating many handmade bird products such as toys, perches, beds, swings, play stands, loads of natural toys & even feather jewellery🪶 I first got interested in canaries when mum purchased her first little yellow crested canary a few years back named Roger... We soon found out he was in fact a she!! LOL Then my granddad gave us a red factor canary named Mango, yes he was a real boy LOL ... I liked them so much so I purchased my first breeding pair and breeding box and things have just blossomed from there :) After purchasing more unrelated pairs I have bred 10 babies since then and now my breeding stock has expanded :) My first hand reared little one was cheeky Chibi then Tiki which made me realize just how cute and cuddly these little guys are and wanted to let everyone experience having a little fluffy friend of their own, hence my breeding programme begins....With the careful selection of pairs I intend to breed and sell you quality tame and most of all 'Cuddly Canaries'

🎃🐦✨️ It’s a Feathered Friends Friday Halloween Special! ✨️🐦🎃

So since tomorrow is Halloween, I thought a bit of a festive Halloween theme was in order for today's post 🎃👻 Violet Crumble is such a curious character and is always, always up to mischief 😄 I guess since her name is chocolate related, so that officially makes her a sweet treat rather than a spooky trick haha 🍬🦜

She is quite fearless and super keen to have a close look at exactly what you are doing and what you have got 🥰 As you can see, she wasn't intimidated by the spooky decorations at all, she was quite happy to check out the pumpkin bowls and even strike a brave pose right next to a big black crow prop without batting an eye 🐦‍⬛🎃 ✨

📸 I'd love to see your feathered friends getting festive too!

🎉🐦 It’s Feathered Friends Friday, my lovely birdie fam! 🐦🎉

I am so very excited for today’s post because it has been an absolutely wild, busy, and wonderful couple of days around here 🤩🐥🐔
First up, we had a fantastic hatch in the nursery, an amazing 8 out of 8 perfect little chickadees arrived safely 🐣 But the excitement didn't stop there. Yesterday, I received a phone call that I won an awesome Royal Rooster chicken coop worth $1,080, all thanks to Barastoc Poultry 🏆🌾

I’ve attached the competition photo so you can see how cool it is 🤩 The entry question asked why Barastoc is our favorite brand, and the answer had everything to do with our sweet old girl, Harriet. She had stopped laying long ago, but after switching to their top quality Champion Layer premium feed, she surprised us all by starting back up again 🥰

Initially when I entered the competition, it was all about celebrating our first 2 miracle babies from her. Fast forward to this week, and we have officially welcomed 5 MORE of Harriet’s little legacy babies in this recent hatch of 8 🥹❤️

Hard work pays off, and our backyard flock is expanding in the absolute best way possible 🏡✨

📸 I'd love to see your feathered friends too!

🎉🐦 It's Feathered Friends Friday, my lovely birdie fam! 🐦🎉

Today’s post is about Mum's gorgeous parrotlet girl Bug 💙 You might remember a little while ago we did a FFF post about her night time routine of sitting with Mum and watching her phone. Well, she also has a beautiful first thing in the morning routine too ☀️✨

Every morning, she likes to climb down from her favorite sleeping spot in her cozy bedroom to the very bottom, then she'll sit there peeping through the slit of the cover we set up each night, just to let us know she's awake 🥹 The second we spot her, she ready to immediately come out, hop right onto Mum's hand, and sit to preen her soft, pretty blue feathers for the next hour or so.

As you can see in this photo, she sits so comfortably and is just so incredibly content 💙 It's way too adorable when birdies have their specific daily routines, and I absolutely love the mutual understanding we find when we bond with these super sweet feathered friends 🥰

📸 I'd love to see your feathered friends too!

🎉🐦 It's Feathered Friends Friday, my lovely birdie fam! 🐦🎉

Mum and I had the most amazing surprise in the yard this arvo and I just had to share this special moment with you all 🥰

For today's Feathered Friends Friday, we had local Musk Lorikeets come down to visit our Rainbow Lorikeets, Marley and Lego, for the very first time 🥹 We have always had Musk Lorikeets around our area, but they usually stay way too high up in the gum trees and never venture into our house yard. It was super cute seeing them up so close in the frangipani branches, checking out our birdies in the aviary, the size difference is just too cute 😍🦜🦜

📸 I'd love to see your feathered friends too!

🎉🐦 It's Feathered Friends Friday, my beautiful birdie fam! 🐦🎉

Today’s post is our gorgeous girl Bubbles 🫧🩶 She just wanted to pop on by, get right up in your screen, and say a massive hello to everyone and everybirdie 👋✨

Bubbles is such a character and a total attention seeker, she alwayyyysss wants to be the center of attention, especially if you start talking to another member of the flock, you’ve gotta love that big ringneck energy 😄🥰

📸 I'd love to see your feathered friends too!

Currently available is this lovely purebred pair, a Australorp Hen and Barred Plymouth Rock Rooster, 2 very beautiful chickens to add to your flock 🐔🐓
The hen has been a fantastic layer, her eggs averaging around 60g, and the rooster always busy flock calling and tending to her. The hen does have some feather loss due to some other roosters favouring her too much (she had since been separated from the other flock for a few weeks now), so they'll grow back come the next moult 🪶
These 2 are to go as a pair only, and will certainly if interested, make some wonderful cross-bred chicks 🐥🐣

🎉🐦 It’s Feathered Friends Friday, my beautiful birdie fam! 🐦🎉

Today's FFF post features our gorgeous newest little Plymouth chicks 😍 I was busy cleaning out their nursery, and since they needed a safe spot out of the way, I decided to pack them all up into a Woolies grocery bag 🛍️🐥🐤 Best reusable bag purpose ever 😄✨️

While I was cleaning, Mum spotted the bag wriggling around on the floor and making all sorts of cute noises, so she went over to investigate the mystery, just look at that bag full of pure cuteness 😍🥹

📸 I'd love to see your feathered friends too!

Canaries are so teeny tiny as babies and so very cute with their little soft baby fluff 🥹 These guys are the first 2 babies of the season, with 4 other nests almost complete and some complete and sitting on eggs 🥰
