We soon found out he w

as in fact a she!! LOL Then my granddad gave us a red factor canary named Mango, yes he was a real boy LOL ... I liked them so much so I purchased my first breeding pair and breeding box and things have just blossomed from there :) After purchasing more unrelated pairs I have bred 10 babies since then and now my breeding stock has expanded :) My first hand reared little one was cheeky Chibi then Tiki which made me realize just how cute and cuddly these little guys are and wanted to let everyone experience having a little fluffy friend of their own, hence my breeding programme begins....With the careful selection of pairs I intend to breed and sell you quality tame and most of all 'Cuddly Canaries'

🎉🐦 It’s Feathered Friends Friday, my lovely birdie fam! 🐦🎉

Today I wanted to share a little update on what our gorgeous cockatiels Charlie and Chadwick have been up to lately 🦜🦜 After taking a nice little break from nesting, Charlie surprised us by laying four eggs, and we've been eagerly calculating exactly when the sweet little babies should have started hatching 🐣🗓️
We went to check on the nest today, but sadly found that in all their eagerness to be parents, all four eggs are clear. It really sucks for them to have gone through the whole dedicated process of sitting and caring for the clutch only to not have anything hatch from it this time around 🥚🥚🥚🥚

But if you know cockatiels, you know just how resilient and determined they can be 🥰 They certainly aren't discouraged and are already keen to try again, as soon as we cleaned out and completely refreshed their nest box today, they both rushed right back inside to inspect it and start planning their next round ✨ Breeding always comes with its ups and downs, but watching their dedicated partnership and strong parental instincts is always so beautiful to see 🧡💛

There is nothing quite like the magic of hatch day 😍 We’ve been glued to our incubator these last few days, and we are so proud to have had a 100% hatch rate with our very own Light Barred Plymouth Rock eggs, 7 out of 7 🐣🐣🐣🐣🐣🐣🐣
If you'd like to incubate your own, we have collected 6 fresh eggs ready to go now, $30 for the half dozen (pickup welcome or happy to express post at an extra cost) 🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚

We used the Janoel 24 incubator and tweaked the heat and arranged the humidity using an independent digital and analog temp gauge, which once calibrated, temp would fluctuate between 37.2 to 38°C, and humidity for the first 18 days between 40 to 50%, then after lockdown, 50 to 60% was just right for our bator, we had even run a bit of a test and had some of the eggs stored for nearly two weeks, so it's so very exciting to have these results 🥰

💖🐦 It’s Feathered Friends Friday, my beautiful birdie fam, though today’s post comes with a very heavy heart. 🐦💖

Lately our community has experienced some incredibly sad losses, several of my wonderful customers and friends have had to say goodbye to their cherished featherbabies recently, and I am also aware of a few lovely followers who have had heartbreaking loss too.
Hearing all these devastating stories has been a lot to process, and it is especially heavy when it involves the precious little birds that we have raised from babies. When our birds become unwell, it can happen so suddenly, and feeling helpless in those final moments is a pain that stays with you. My heart goes out to every single person who is hurting right now. 💔✨

I wanted to share this photo today of myself and Chibi, who was one of my very first hand reared canaries. She is the sweet soul who you'll find in my logo, and she will always be with us. Looking at her reminds me of how deeply these little souls weave themselves into our lives right from the moment they come into this world.
Our birds are so much more than just pets, they are family. They fill our homes with so much personality and unconditional love, which is why the sudden silence they leave behind is so profoundly deafening. If you have ever lost a feathered friend, please know that your in your grief you are surrounded by a community that truly understands.
Today I wanted to dedicate this space entirely to their memory. Let's wrap each other in love and support as we remember the joy they brought into our lives 🌈🌤️

🎉🐦 It’s Feathered Friends Friday, my beautiful birdie fam! 🐦🎉

Today is an adorable throwback edition, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to share a little "then vs now" of our super cute lil flock member Baby Bird 🥹🐣✨

8 years ago as a tiny lovebaby, she was always quite the little oddball right from the start, you could constantly find her doing all sorts of silly things, like sleeping in funny positions as seen in photo 7 😄 She also absolutely lived for snuggles, and you would always find her nestled perfectly right in our hands or tucked away cozy inside a pocket 🥰

Fast forward to today, and Baby Bird has grown into a beautiful pastel queen who is the definition of the ultimate lovebird personality, all those early baby snuggles definitely shaped her into the wonderfully clingy, sweet, sassy, and mischievous attention-seeker she is today, and she always needs to have you nearby! 🤍💜

It’s so rewarding looking back at where they started and seeing how those sweet baby habits blossom into the amazing, vibrant little characters they become over the years. 🦜🌿

🎉🐦 It’s Feathered Friends Friday, my lovely birdie fam! 🐦🎉

Today is about these sweet little lovebabies having their very first big road trip yesterday 💜💙💛💚 We traveled down to Coffs, and we couldn't leave the featherbabies behind, so we packed up all their food and essentials, a cozy blanket and they rode inside a comfy little pod tucked safely into their specialized travel bag 🥰🎒

At first, they were a tiny bit worried about the new sights and sounds. It didn't take long for them to realize though that they were safe, and they completely settled in for a comfortable ride. Those curious adorable little faces peeking out says it all 🥹
Traveling with birds takes extra planning, but a secure, familiar setup makes all the difference in helping them build confidence on the go ✨

Today is all about these incredibly photogenic little lovebabies 🥹📸 I was going through my camera roll to pick a photo for today, but each pic was just so sweet I couldn't choose which one 💙🧡💙 Their vibrant colors make them absolute stars in front of the camera ✨️

These super cute lil lovebabies enjoy very much snuggling up in the soft blanket together, one big happy cuddle pile 🥰 They certainly bring a smile to our faces every single day 😍

🎉🐦 It’s Feathered Friends Friday, my lovely birdie fam! 🐦🎉

Today is all about our Lilly Pilly tree finally producing a beautiful crop of fruit 🌳🫐 It's been so exciting seeing it covered in those gorgeous little purple berries, so it seemed like the perfect time to let some of the birdies have a taste 💜 Some gave the fruit one look and decided it definitely wasn't for them while others absolutely devoured it like little Laney here 🥰 She was especially keen and wasted no time enjoying every little bite while Blueberry figured he'd watch 🥹💙

Lilly Pilly fruit is a lovely native Australian bush tucker, and in moderation it can make a fun fresh treat for many pet bird species too 🦜✨ It's always important to introduce new foods gradually and make sure they're clean and free from any sprays, chemicals or fruit fly contamination.

Even the Currawongs have been enjoying the Lilly Pilly berries lately, so it's nice knowing we're all appreciating the tree together 🐦🐦‍⬛🦜

One of these fellas headed off to his new flock today consisting of 10 chookies to look after, he's one very lucky boy ☺️

So now only one lonely dude remains and is still on the lookout for his 🐓🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔 He is a beautiful Light Barred Plymouth Rock, and currently 9 months old 🥰
