Here’s to the Natural Dogs 🐕
24 years ago today, my world got a whole lot more hairy & loved up, when a beautiful blue eyed Siberian Husky puppy came into my world ❤️
The first Natural Dog breed, but not the last to be part of my family 🐺
Some humans will have you believe that certain dogs, especially in the Natural dog breed group, require a heavy hand, a dominating presence & control - when in fact they need the opposite.
I may be biased about this breed group being one of the best companions you can have in your lifetime, but love all dogs no matter what breed or mix of breeds they are.
I owe where I am today on this animal training & behaviour journey to that blue eyed husky boy & the dogs that came before him that gave me such an enriched life. And of course the dogs that came after him.
Currently enriching my life are high shedding Natural Dogs that sleep in & on my bed, giving those aeroplane ears & excited grunts when I get home after seeing the canines & humans that Inspired Canine is helping each day.
While animal welfare has always been important & a key value to me, I have definitely grown & changed over the past 2 1/2 decades. It would be crazy not to!
Being force free, fear free & using positive reinforcement training is very important in my world.
I have evolved & improved how I see & interact with canines, animals & the environment.
And improving welfare of others is fundamental to growth as a human species. Change should be embraced and reflected upon.
Inspired Canine is dedicated to improving the welfare & lives of all canines in human captivity through our training & services.
Having a total welfare approach is vital for improving the way we care for, train and teach animals and our family dog mediation education with the legs model considers The Total Welfare approach
