Happy Vet Nurses Day!
We are ALWAYS appreciative of our wonderful team of nurses and all that they do, but it’s especially nice to acknowledge them today.
Their hard work, dedication, capability (and questionable senses of humour) make every day a good day at Gracemere Vet Surgery.
Thank you team!

This weather has certainly brought the snakes out! This rather large Red Belly Black Snake was relocated from our back garden today.

A big thank you to Andrew from Randlab who we hosted yesterday at CQLX for our gastroscoping afternoon.

A number of horses were diagnosed with gastric ulcers and now have treatment plans in place.

We look forward to welcoming Andrew back in January and will keep this page updated with details.

A heads-up to clients visiting the clinic today … you may notice some unusual wardrobe choices by our staff!

We are proud to be supporting National Pyjama Day, an event spearheaded by The Pyjama Foundation to support their ‘Love of Learning’ Program. This initiative matches children in out-of-home (foster) care with trained volunteer mentors who spend time reading and building essential life skills. The day strives to raise vital funds and awareness for children in foster care.

We are beyond proud of our own Dr Alyssa who with her husband are proud foster-carers to less fortunate children.

We will have a donation tin available at reception if you are in a position to give.

Wishing everybody a wonderful Friday and weekend.

We’ve recently seen an increase in Paralysis Tick cases, so would like to remind all pet owners of the importance of tick prevention.

Paralysis ticks can affect both dogs and cats, and even a single tick can cause life-threatening illness. The good news is that regular preventative treatments are highly effective.

* Keep your pet’s prevention up to date.
* Check your pet regularly.
* If you notice any weakness, wobbliness, vomiting, difficulty breathing or other unusual behaviour, contact us immediately.

Please reach out to our friendly team for the best prevention advice for your special friend.
