PLEASE STOP ASKING RESCUES TO FIND YOIR SPECIFIC DOG!
This has to be said.
PLEASE Do not contact rescues asking for:
• a particular colour
• a particular size
• a particular s*x
• a “toy poodle under 5kg”
• or to be notified when one becomes available
We cannot and will not provide this.
Rescue does not operate like a shop.
The dogs that come into rescue come because something has gone wrong:
* their owners can no longer care for them
* they have been neglected or overbred
**they need immediate help
I do not choose what dogs come into rescue
When you ask a rescue to find a specific type of dog:
• you are placing unrealistic expectations on smaller rescue groups
• you are taking time away from dogs who actually need help
• you are adding pressure to volunteers who are already stretched
It is not fair.
If you want a specific type of dog then go to a breeder site like Dogz Online (Australia)
Rescue is about matching the right home to the dog that needs it.
If you are genuinely interested in adopting, then tell me about:
**You and your home SEQ**
**Experience with poodles (or not, that’s ok)**
**Tell us all about the life you can offer a dog**
