Lily x Manuka had 8 healthy babies during cyclone Alfred. Wow that was a challenging week.. we were out of power for 5 days.. Lily was unsettled all week and we thought she was going to give birth any day that week but she wanted to keep those babies in her belly longer, i realised she was waiting for the storm to pass so the puppies were safe! She gave birth the day after the storm passed- days after her due date. It was really hard helping her in the dark with my phone light , and she even gave us an extra one - we were expecting 7 from the x-rays… lucky i never sleep at night so i was still up in the dark to help her. Lily is just so smart and loving. I’m so proud of her she’s a great mum ♥️
