UPDATE: “Billy” has been adopted!

“Billy” is 6 years and 4 months old and recently found himself looking for a new home after his 94 year old human sadly passed away. No one else in the family could take him, so “Billy” is now on the hunt for a calm, experienced owner who can handle his particular brand of charm 😼

Here’s what you need to know about “Billy”: he’s bipolar… in the best cat way. One minute, he’s purring like a tiny motor, rolling around, and demanding attention. The next, he’ll give you a sharp reminder that he’s the boss of this household (he has a history of biting, so experience is essential). Basically, he’s all the fun of a cat with a PhD in attitude.

“Billy” has only ever lived with his elderly human, so he’s never met other cats or dogs. He’s strictly an indoor king, and he likes it that way. He enjoys head rubs, pats, and gentle attention, but always on his terms.

He’s coping well at the surgery, but let’s be honest: a busy clinic isn’t the right fit for someone with his personality. He deserves a quiet, patient home where his moods are respected, and his affection is treasured.

UPDATE: “Obi” & “Onyx” have been adopted!

Meet “Obi” & “Onyx” 🤍🐾🖤 (AKA the ears with attached puppies)

These two ridiculously adorable boys are around 3-4 months old and have already perfected the art of looking at you like you owe them snacks.

“Obi” & “Onyx” were rescued by Shannon and arrived into care late on Monday night after being saved from a rural inland community. We have now rescued and rehomed 16 dogs from this area, and we are sooo happy to give these boys their second chance here in Brisbane 🥹

Breed? We’re listing them as Bull Arab crosses… but truthfully, your guess is as good as ours. What we can confirm is that they are 100% good boys.

They are SUPER friendly, inquisitive, playful, and just the right amount of cheeky. They’re also rocking some of the biggest, most magnificent ears we’ve ever seen, perfect for hearing treat bags open from three suburbs away 🤣

These boys will make incredible family members, but they will need committed humans who are ready to put in the time with training, guidance, and all the puppy things. (Yes, including the occasional chaos. It’s part of the charm.)

They are also social with other dogs, provided introductions are done slowly and thoughtfully.

Adoption Cost:
The adoption fee for each pup is $600. This price covers their first vaccination, microchipping, worming, flea treatment and desexing (which will occur in approximately 1 month).

🥺💔 Why didn’t Scooby find a home 💔🥺

Hi everyone, it’s me Scooby again! I was almost out of time at the pound and thankfully Rescue Hub saved me at the very last moment 😮‍💨 The other doggies who were on the same critical list as me all have homes already, or applications, why not me? ☹️ Not one application! Why doesn’t anyone want to give me a home too? 😢

The volunteers tell me every day that I’m a beautiful boy, and that I’m a big, silly goofball 😜 I am loving and very smart too! I don’t mind being on my own and can happily entertain myself with my toys (which I absolutely love) but I do also like to be around you humans, and if you play fetch the ball with me I really love that too 🥎 I bring the ball back and will give you a little nudge to let you know I’m ready for you to throw it again! 👍

Everyone says you’re such a sweet, gorgeous boy Scooby! 🥰 They all say I’m so cute and give me lots of pats, hugs, kisses & scratches ☺️ I really like that 😊

I’m no trouble at all, I promise. I know how to sit, shake, wait for my food and I really like going for walks.

Do you think you could give me a home? I’d need lots of love, and time to adjust, but I’m sure we could be very best friends 🤗

Urgent carer needed - BRISBANE

They say a picture is worth a thousand words and this picture breaks our hearts .

We know zero about these babies other than they are urgent to place into a foster home , we do not even know their names .

They were found locked inside their home laying beside their deceased owner who passed away several days ago , they have been taken to a local vet centre who reached out to us .

As you can imagine they are quite traumatised by the death of their owner and now being taken to an unfamiliar environment and put into a cage with people tending to them they don’t know .

It’s all heart breaking and overwhelming .

They have been through so much and we want to help but with all our current carers full we need to find them a new carer .

We believe a quiet home is best suited for now and a room of their own if you have other pets as we do not know how they will be around others .

They will need patience and a lot of TLC after all they have been through .

Vets can only hold them a short while before they have to be sent to the pound so if you can open your heart and home to this traumatised duo ( see second kitty hiding behind the first kitty ) then please reach out to us asap as we would love to offer these two safe haven after all they have been through .

Our adoption pen in reception is bursting with adorable kitties, all searching for their happily ever afters! From playful kittens to sweet little purr machines, there’s a furry friend ready to steal your heart 😻❤️🏡

Here’s everything you need to know before booking a meet and greet:
1️⃣ Meet and greet appointments: We offer half-hour appointments so you can spend time with the kittens and see if they’re the right fit for your home. We will not accept walk-ins. To book, call us during opening hours on 3264 7700.

2️⃣ Rental properties: If you are renting, you must have proof that cats are allowed. If you do not have this, please do not make an appointment.

3️⃣ Kitten food: We feed all our kittens Royal Canin kitten food. Each adopter receives a $20 voucher to get a discount on a 2kg or 4kg bag. Kittens must stay on this food during the initial settling in period to ensure a smooth transition. Once they are settled, you can gradually change their food as they grow older. If you are not prepared to feed this food initially, we will not be able to adopt a kitten to you.

We want every kitten to have a smooth, happy start in their forever home! 😺

Adoption Cost:
We rehome all our rescue kittens in a package of $260. This price includes their first vaccination, microchipping, worming, flea treatment, vet check and desexing (which occurs at 4-5 months of age).

Meet Lewis – the gentle soul with a heart as big as his comeback story.

Lewis has been on quite the journey. After arriving in care in rough shape, this sweet boy has undergone an incredible medical transformation and won a lot of hearts along the way. From staff to volunteers to his foster carers, everyone who's met Lewis agrees: he’s something special.

Lewis is social and curious around other dogs, and doesn't mind seeing them out on walks, but needs more training before living with them. His expressive face can make his greetings a little enthusiastic, but it's all part of his charm and easily guided with gentle handling. He’s not the type to demand constant attention, but he’s always close by when you need a friend.

He’s shown minimal signs of separation stress, suggesting he’ll be okay being left alone for short periods, and with the right introductions and supervision, he may even do well living with a cat or small animals.

Lewis is more than just a medical success story, he’s a calm, kind, and loving boy who’s ready for the next chapter of his life. He’s come so far, and now he’s just waiting for a family to see him for who he truly is: a gentle companion with a whole lot of love to give.

If you’re ready to welcome a dog who’s already captured hearts and is so deserving of a happy ever after, Lewis could be your perfect match.
