WOW WOW WOW!!!!!!
PUP CUP in Coffs Harbour over the weekend.
Weather was atrocious but OMG Tara again did use proud. Not only did she place 1st in both her classes ( cocker spaniel and her own poodle masquerading as a bedlington) Tara also took out Best in Show for modern styles.
Soooo super proud of my head stylist and excited for our next competition in September in Brisbane. Huge thanks to all our clients for their support especially Jaye James for helping with last minute complications when our original cocker spaniel couldn't make it.

Hello to All,
This is just a quick post to inform everyone that as per usual at the end of the financial year, our prices are reviewed and adjusted as needed.
This year has been challenging as it's a balancing act with the cost of living effecting everyone, including running a small business. So, as of July 1st, some of our services have had to increase, new services, fees n charges have been added ,but, our VIP discount still remains.
The new price list is available at reception and will be on our website from July 1st when these new changes come into effect.
If these changes cause any hardship, please come and talk to us as your pet is our priority.
A HUGE THANKYOU to all our furry clients and their parents for your support over the last 18yrs and we look forward to continuing to do our best for your furbabies.

Well, another year coming to a close. It's been a busy and eventful 2024. Tara did us proud with her competition wins.We learnt so much at our industry seminars ( gotta keep up with grooming trends)Bought some new tools at the trade shows and upgraded some others.Samantha joined us in July, and completed our team of 4. Tiffany is now off on maternity leave and we wish her all the best. The new face in the photo is Kylie, our newest team member, and comes to us with 10yrs grooming experience. Thankyou to all our furry clients and their parents (old and new), who have supported us throughout the year/s. You all truly make our job a pleasure. We want to wish you and your loved ones a Merry Xmas and a Safe New Year.
We are now closed for a Xmas break and we REOPEN Tues 7th January 2025.

Hey Everyone, We've been busy this weekend at Brisbane Groomathon held at Ipswich. Seminars, tradeshow and competitions.
Thankyou to all our clients for understanding that we love to learn and compete. With 6wks till Xmas plus a heatwave, it's not ideal I know,but we want to give the best of us and this was the last industry event for the year.
We learnt so much, bought new gear,and Tara competed in 4 classes managing to place 2nd with Jett( client's cocker spaniel, thanks Jaye),and did her best with other grooms. It's not always about winning, but, the chance to get your work critiqued from the best in the business.
With the run on now to Xmas we are back to work as normal, however, we do have a break over New Year period. So please note...
We close Sat 21st Dec -- reopen Tues 7th Jan '25.

WOW WOW WOW. What a great weekend at the Pet Show. Tara had 3 competitions, Gundog,Salon Freestyle and Poodle classes. Tara placed in all. So incredibly proud,excited, and chuffed for her. Each class was full, with groomers coming up from NSW, Brisbane, Gold Coast and even a couple from Korea to compete. It's always fun to network with other groomers and is the best way to improve and learn with feedback from the judges always important.
We are now looking forward to our next big competition in November which will be held in Ipswich.(more info on this closer to date). Go Tara!!!

Hey Everyone, it's been another great week for us,catching up after a fantastic workshop last Monday. We attended a full day with Sue Wright's Asian Grooming Academy on the Sunshine Coast. So much fun. Who knew you can teach an old groomer new tricks😉. Tara and I love to learn and keep up with all the latest Grooming techniques.
We are now focusing on the Brisbane Pet Show competitions in 2weeks. Tara is competing in 3 classes and we'll be cheering her on. Enjoy this beautiful winter weather and I'll keep you posted on Tara's results.

Hi Everyone,
Can't believe it's been soo long between posts. It's nearly June!!! Now is a good time to give your furbabies a " not quite summer, but, not quite winter" trim to help you maintain their fur and only needing tidies of feet,faces n bums done over nxt winter months. BUT, having said that, brushing is essential!!!
We have industry workshops and competitions coming up, so, lots of exciting knowledge to gain and share with our clients. Tara and I are looking forward to extending our skills if Asian fusion with a workshop nxt week.
The Brisbane PetExpo is on again 22nd/ 23rd June, and Tara is getting her pets ready, Yuki, and Sari (poodles), client Jett( cocker spaniel). It's a general public expo so grab your tickets and come watch Tara compete against other groomers. It's a great expo for everything animal. Let's wish Tara well in bringing home another ribbon.
We have also upgraded our equipment. We have an electric bath and table that both raise and lower gently for "our backs" comfort as well as our elderly fur clients.
Lastly, we have a range of funky, one-off collars for sale. All proceeds go to the creator Lisa Turner to help support the costs of producing an anti- bullying book for kids 5- 12yrs. Please support her worthy cause.

Well, here we are again. Another year nearly over. We've had an interesting year with Tara doing so well with her grooming competitions, also updating equipment, and we've learnt heaps at our industry seminars. Creative grooming is one of our passions,and hope to expand this exciting area of grooming next year. Lots planned in 2024, stay tuned.
We've had to say a sad farewell to 2 cherished staff members. Jordan has left to chase his dreams in WA. Rachael has expanded her business of dog training and walking, so she is pursuing this direction. We wish them the best.
Finally, from us all here at Topknotch, we wish everyone a peaceful Xmas and new year 🙏. Thankyou for your support throughout 2023. We will be back to work on Tues 2nd Jan. Look forward to seeing all your furbabies in 2024. Cheers
