Hey all,
Just a quick message for this season..
We struggle to get enough eggs for our own incubators as we need around 70 a day, so unfortunately we won't be selling any fertile eggs for the foreseeable future. This decision was also made at the start of the season last year as well, after too many issues selling eggs in 2023. We were replacing soo many cartons of eggs with people getting poor hatch rates (despite us getting good hatches and keeping records of fertility at the time), only to find out that our customers had "bargain" incubators of eBay, or after checking their incubators temperature to find they were way too cold or hot. So to save this from happening we will be hatching all of our eggs this season.

Also, we try to remove roosters/cockerals as early as possible so we generally don't have any in stock. If we are to grow a young cockeral for someone specifically they will be $25ea, they don't cost any less to grow or feed, and take the space of a more valuable pullet in a growing pen.

Hey all, like most breeders atm we have turned many customers away due to the lack of eggs we have had coming through. We have finally got close to 800 eggs in the incubator between 2 separate hatches. Over 50% of these eggs we have purchased in so we can supply our customers with chick's again 😃
This coming spring will be very busy, my aim will be to hatch 800 eggs every 3-4 weeks in an attempt at selling larger quantities of heritage chick's at a cheaper rate (50+ will see a substantial discount). While still supplying smaller quantities, as well as keeping some back for growing out to pullets. 😃😃

We have decided to pull the pin on our Silver Campines before they start laying in spring and I'll want to keep them haha
We have a rooster originating from Tasmania, 3 hens from a breeder in WA at approximately 2 years old, and 3 from another breeder in WA and are approximately 9 months old.

Today was one of those interesting but still great days. Started of driving to Australind to drop some pullets off to a customer from all the way out in Bullsbrook. We ended up breaking down half way, luckily my wife could rescue the day and collect the chickens and my eldest son off me with her car and meet our customer in time to make the delivery.
Then after being stranded on the side of the road we finally got my car home 4 hours later with an hour to spare. I had to be home this afternoon in time for 6 of our pekins to get picked up by their new family from all the way out in Kalgoorlie 😀

Ps all these pullets were grown specifically for these customers over the last 6-8 weeks.
We still have back orders we are trying hard to fulfil over winter 1 at a time.
Unfortunately with the moult and the cold weather we don't have alot to offer atm. But our egg production is on the rise over the last week so we're hoping to be in full production again very soon 🙏 😀
