Arcadia Pony Club offers fun and competition for riders aged 4 years and up. Arcadia Pony Club offers fun and competition for riders aged 4 to 25 years old.

We are based at the fantastic Rural Sports Facility on the corner of Bayfield Road and Mansfield Road, Galston. Wehave 3 enclosed grass arenas, a bridle trail around the perimeter and day yards for the horses. We are part of Pony Club Zone 23. We encourage our members to learn all aspects of horse care and riding. Rally days are the 1st, 3rd and 5th Sunday of the month and we run regular Closed Competitions and Zone Competitions during the year.

𝗙𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿'𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗥𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴....
This Sunday 6, September - we have a SPECIAL day planned for our riders and our dads too! We are planning a slightly later start so dads can get a little sleep in but guess what? It's a free bacon and egg sandwich and coffee for all dads next Sunday at Arcadia Pony Club Inc.!

Plus - we are running a really fun session known as 'Rescue relay' where dads are 'running' a small jump course (from poles) behind their rider (from a very safe distance!) which will no doubt create some amazing memories.

Details:
8am: Arrival and set up
8.45am: Gear check and troop drill top arena (Plus free bacon and egg rolls and coffee for all dads)
9am: Session 1 - Rescue relay
9.45am: Session 2 - Pony Club Australia certificate work and assessments (for those riders that are ready)
10.30am Pack up
11am Early lunch - Canteen

For current riders - details on the ridden elements of our Certificates, E, D, D* & C are as per the email sent out earlier this week. Please check the assessment sheet so that you can get an idea of the tasks you will demonstrating.

For new riders - our instructors will explain the PCA certificate certfiication and you can start working through youe relevant certficate form next Sunday.

Check your inbox for the details and make sure you RSVP by email or FB messenger by Friday 5pm with the name of the rider and horse attending.

Zone 23 Pony Club Dressage and Show riding hosted by Arcadia Pony Club Inc. - what a huge success! 🎉

With nearly 60 entries, we’d like to thank all of the riders and clubs that joined us today. Your lovely riding and Pony Club Australia horsemanship skills shone as bright as the sun did all day. ☀️

Good morning riders!

We are looking forward to seeing you all today for the Zone 23 Pony Club Dressage and Show riding Championships, hosted by Arcadia Pony Club Inc. Gates open at 7.30am and our canteen will be serving delicious food all day.

In preparation for our upcoming Zone 23 Dressage and Show Riding event, Arcadia Pony Club is excited for our show riding and dressage protocol clinic with Ella Finn from KK Equestrian this Sunday which is of NO CHARGE to all Arcadia Pony Club Inc. 2026 riding members.

This clinic is for all ages and levels of riders so register your spot now in JustGO or email us with your horse and rider name/s.

- 3 x 45 minute sessions this Sunday, 2 August
8am: Set up

𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗘𝗹𝗹𝗮 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗻
Ella Fin is a dressage, show horse competitor and coach with over 10 years of experience competing at a national level.

Throughout her career, Ella has competed at EA Nationals, Grand Nationals and Interschool Nationals, achieving numerous titles and accolades across both show horse and dressage disciplines.

Most recently, Ella was appointed Team captain of the NSW Team at the 2025 Interschool Nationals, recognising her dedication, leadership and experience within the equestrian community.

Ella has recently transitioned to focusing solely on dressage, training and competing with her young Bloomfield Warmblood with the goal of progressing through the dressage levels and developing a successful partnership together.

Ella is a kind and considered rider and coach that has the ability to meet each horse/rider combination where they are at. Through focussing on building a respectful and connected partnership between horse and rider she is able to set expectations and deliver outcomes in the competition environment.

Hey riders!

Please check your inbox as we have such an amazing day planned for our upcoming rally day. We are so very fortunate to have local star instructor, Camilla Mowbray, joining us for a special horsemanship session on creating calm relationships with our horses.

This is a fabulous session for riders of all levels to bond with their horse or pony and ensure we are safe, our horse welfare is paramount, and that we can attend events with confidence and execute with elegance.

Camilla turns out outstanding horse rider combinations and this is a 'must attend' session.

Our wonderful Arcadia Pony Club Inc. instructor Anne is also running a session that will align with Camilla's teaching and give us an opportunity to practice the elements of our PCA Certificate assessment coming up.

Please RSVP for the day before Friday 5pm so we can plan the groups for each session. The timings for the day are as follows:
8am - Arrival and set up (all families)
9am - Troop drill and gear check in the top arena
9.15am - 10am: Session 1
10am - 11.15am: Session 2
11-11.30am pack up

Camilla is an experienced Equestrian Australia coach with a broad background in sustainable horse management, advanced equine ethology, horse behaviour, training, rehabilitation, riding, and groundwork skills.

As a long-term horse owner, trainer, equestrian sport competitor, and coach, Camilla brings practical, lived experience to her teaching. She supports riders and horse owners to develop confidence, skill, awareness, and a deeper understanding of the horse through experiential learning.

Camilla has also contributed to the wider coaching community through her work with the EA NSW Coaching Committee, supporting coach development, professional standards, and the ongoing growth of equestrian coaching in Australia. Her experience in Equine Assisted Learning further strengthens her ability to create safe,mreflective, and meaningful learning environments where participants can build self-awareness, communication, confidence, emotional regulation, and connection through interactions with horses.

The Hickstead Derby is jumping event with a combination of show jumps and cross country jumps in a fully fenced arena, with each competitor completing two rounds with their scores being added together to determine placings.

𝑰𝒔 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑯𝒊𝒄𝒌𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒂𝒅 𝑫𝒆𝒓𝒃𝒚 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒆𝒙𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆𝒅 𝒓𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒔? 🐎
No! It's a great day out for those who are new to jumping or have
horses new to jumping. Plus it also has some challenges for our more experienced eventing and show jumping riders.
