Family Run Veterinary Clinic offering all aspects of Pet Care. We have owned the clinic since 2006. Routine Consultations are by Appointment Only .

Encounter Bay Veterinary Clinic is a family owned Practice run by husband & Wife Team Shaun O'Mahoney and Eleanor Gomersall. The practice is a highly equipped purpose built practice offering the best care for your pets. We aim to offer the best possible advice for your pets’ health, in a friendly welcoming environment. As well as a full range of small animal medicine and surgery, both Shaun and E

leanor have spent some years working in emergency and critical care. Shaun has spent a number of years working particularly with birds, and exotic pets. As such Encounter Bay Veterinary Clinic is the ideal practice to help with all your pets. Our friendly staff are always happy to offer advice on all aspects of Veterinary care and Pet health. Consultation Times are 9am- 6pm Monday to Friday and 9am - 12 pm Saturday. Emergency Care is available 24 hrs a Day ,365 Days per year. Please note: Weekend and Public Holiday Emergency After Hours Care is shared with other local clinics. When calling the clinic after hours you will be given a contact number for the Vet/s on call.

Veterinary medicine isn’t always predictable.

Behind a closed consult door might be a family hearing difficult news.

In theatre, there might be a patient fighting a little harder than expected.

On a treatment table might be a pet who simply needs more comfort before we can continue.

We don’t rush those moments. We can’t.

If we’re running behind, it’s never because we don’t value your time. It’s because a pet needs us, and we give everything we can, always!

“Pepper” didn’t mind sleeping on a heated mattress all day today after she got desexed. It was much better than being out in the cold and rain.
About 4pm she decided she might come and sit with reception staff and wait for her owners.
