Things to work on over the break.

Eye contact

Encourage at least 3 seconds of eye contact when you call dogs name. Do this 3-4 times a day.

Take your dog walking around town always on lead.
Walking past people quietly and calmly using your voice to maintain dogs attention.

Sits can be practiced each time you stop. Remember correct footwork even when out walking.

Stop for coffee encouraging your dog to sit or drop quietly by your side. Lots of praise and or treats.

Handling your dog.

Touch your dog all over at least once a day.
Groom your dog daily.
Check ears and touch feet again daily.

Enjoy your dogs. Always remember the praise.

Due to the current poor blustery wind and rain... and poorer weather forecasts for tonight, we are cancelling training for tonight (1st of June).

Dave McKay will still be in the club rooms after 5.40pm until 6.20pm for the purposes of taking registrations and any inquiries.

Be aware also that training on the 8th of June WILL NOT be happening due to it falling on a Public Holiday weekend.

So, the NEXT training night will be Monday 15th of June - subject to suitable weather conditions.
