After everything he went through, seeing him happy, safe, loved, and enjoying life with his Kelpie best mate is exactly what I hoped for when I rescued him.

From surviving alone to now having a family, friendship, and a future full of love — this is why we never give up on them.

🐾 Happy Birthday Buddy 🐾

Today I got some beautiful updates from Buddy’s family — and it also happens to be his birthday. ❤️

For those who remember Buddy’s journey, he was the boy I rescued from the Beni State Conservation Area after he had been surviving out there alone. There were a lot of stories and assumptions made about him, but when I finally gained his trust, it was clear he wasn’t a bad dog — he was simply scared.

After everything he had been through, Buddy deserved stability, kindness, and a chance at a better future.

Now look at him. ❤️ He has a wonderful family, a Kelpie mate to share life with, and the happy life every dog deserves. Seeing updates like this reminds me exactly why I do what I do.

Rescue isn’t always easy, but moments like this make it worth every second.

Happy Birthday Buddy. 🎂🐾 I’m so proud of you, and so grateful to your family for giving you the beautiful life you deserve.
