We have had a successful and also dishearting season this year. Marble and Jewel our Cockatiels successfully hatched five babies this season out of two clutches, four of the five hatched out of the first clutch - we had only one infertile in that clutch - but sadly only one made it out of the second clutch, Jewel did an outstanding job and laid seven eggs the second clutch - all fertile... Unfortuanately though a week of hot weather ended all but one baby's life.

Undoubtly we are so proud of our first time parents! They successfully raised two on their own as we pulled three of the bubs and all babies turned out to be healthy little bubba's who went to amazing homes!

Also we'd like to say we are so thankful for your support of our little local aviary!

Two of our gorgeous bubs are off to their new home today! Both girls are going together which is really nice, these sister's are inseparable so I'm very happy they get to stay that way! I am going to miss these little beauties though, it will be a very quiet house when they go.. Sad they are going but happy to see them go to a good home.

Our gorgeous cockatiel bubs! Some unexpected colours! We have two grey pearl-pieds and two cinnamons! We were not expecting Cinnamons so we know now that Dad's split cinnamon so these (and any other Cinnamon bubs) will be girls, as for the greys they will either need to be DNA'd (which we do! -optional-) or wait until they moult in 6-12 months.

All four bubba's have wonderful homes lined up already, and we are so happy! 😊 going to miss them when they go 😭

We have 4 cockatiel bubs on the way and are now taking expressions of interest for these bubs! If you'd like to give one of our babies a forever home, Inbox us now to arrange adoption and screening. Yes, we screen our potential homes, why? Because we want our babies to go to the BEST home possible! That's why, and don't worry, it's not as scary as it seems.
