Whoever says that registered breeders just have dogs to produce puppies and that’s it really don’t know anything about us! They are a huge part of our family - every single one of them! Today our very own Bingo went in for her scheduled spaying. Bingo had two complicated labours with the two litters she had so I decided it was in her best interested to desex her and to stop her from having to endure any further complications when whelping! Bingo was born in my very first litter and one I retained. She will live out the rest of her years here with us as a family pet just like she always has been! It’s been a ride my girl but now it’s time to hang up your Mumma badge and enjoy being a Nana. ❤️❤️🐕🐕🐾🐾

Some of the best dogs are black tris. A blue merle COULD be pretty but have a bad temperament. Don’t over look the black tri. Don’t buy a dog only because of the looks but look for temperament, structure, genetics, a good responsible breeder and much more.

To clarify, this post is not to put down blue merles. I’m simply stating as a breeder blue merles are usually first to go and black tris are left behind. This post is to encourage buying a dog based on multiple factors not just color. The color of a dog doesn’t mean it will have good temperament or what not. You can pick a dog based on color but there’s no promise it will have good temperament, etc. Also, don’t buy cheap dogs just because they are cheap.

It is with a heavy heart I write to let you all know I will be taking a break from my breeding program here at Windy Valley while I navigate through the next chapter of my life. I have a few beautiful Australian Cattle Dogs and Australian Shepherds that will be looking for their new forever homes.

☀️ How beautiful a day can be, when kindness touches it! ☀️

Nat’s love story started with a beautiful blue boy who she named Basil almost 12 months ago. Sadly Basil was to special for this world, he was bitten by a snake and didn’t make it.
In their short but amazing time together they forged a bond and love that was very special.

I knew Nat would reach out again when her time was right and when she was ready to have another fur baby join her…..

Cameron, Nat’s partner reached out to me before she could! Nat was showing him photos of the puppies and he knew she desperately wanted one!

Not giving anything away Cameron and I had kept this little boy a secret from Nat knowing he was destined to be hers & he would be heading out West to enjoy the farm life as a working dog!

After making the long drive to Dubbo from Bullarah to go to ‘Kmart’ it was then when Nat realised she wasn’t going to Kmart at all she was coming to Windy Valley instead!

Greeting Cameron and an emotional Nat here was a very moving, emotional and special moment. Seeing her broken heart yet full heart was special!

Although Basil cannot be replaced and their love will not compare we know Whiskey Blue will bring Nat and Cameron a lifetime of happiness, love & comfort that they deserve..

Love is unconditional; love liberates; love is the reason I do what I do and so I think it is the greatest gift we have.

Love and kindness are never wasted. They always make a difference.

Families are heading from across the state to collect their new little fur babies!

Cannot wait to watch these babies blossom and grow with their new families!

Doesn’t matter how many times I do this it is always bitter sweet and emotional!

🚨 Evacuation Plan 🚨

I had definitely thought about what I would do in an emergency but never did I think the day would come to implement it or prepare for it!

This week we had the ordeal of a large scale and quick moving bush fire knocking on our door.

Thankfully everything and everyone is safe but gosh it was an ordeal and it is safe to say I am absolutely exhausted now!

For all my fellow breeders and puppy families I cannot express the absolute importance of having an evacuation plan in place and practising it you never know when you will be using it!
