We know your pup (or any furry, car-loving friend) loves a good road trip, but paws for a moment and make sure you're following the rules before you hit the road.

🚫 While you can drive with pets, don’t let your furry co-pilot distract you or sit on your lap while driving. It’s not just unsafe, it’s illegal.

Driving with a pet on your lap can distract you and interfere with your control of the vehicle. That could fetch you a fine or worse - cause a crash 🐕

Here are some tips for driving with your furry friend safely:
🐾 Leash the chaos – use a pet harness, crate, or barrier to keep your pet secure.
🐾 No hot dogs in cars – never leave pets alone in vehicles, especially in warm weather.
🐾 Take paws breaks – stop regularly for water, toilet, and a tail-wagging stretch (for the humans and the furry passengers).
🐾 Keep their heads inside – it’s cute, but it’s not safe so keep the windows up while driving.

Let’s keep our roads safe and our pets happy, because a safe trip is the ulti-mutt goal 🐾

Morning all. Hope we are managing to stay as dry as we can.

On Monday morning a distinctive throw/scarf/pashmina. Was left on the coin machines out the front of the store.
If you think it might be yours drop by the shop and after we determine proof of ownership you can collect it.

Well. T’was brisk this morning. I was keeping an eye on the temp on the way in and the highest it reached was 4°.
Just as a bit of info. Before you head off for the day pop out side and make sure all water sources for animals doesn’t have a layer of ice. If it does just crack it so the animals can get to the water. Animals can’t crack the ice themselves which leaves them with out water until it defrosts.
Some things stay frozen inthe cold until the sun hits it and if it’s in a place where it gets no sun at all it could stay frozen all day.

Don’t know what this winter will hold for us but I hope you all manage to stay toasty and comfortable.

Hi all
Apparently a storm he’s just hit the Somerset area so it could be on its way this direction. It might go out to see but forewarned is forearmed.
If your pets start to react remember they will hear the storm long before you will.

Hi all.
Just a reminder that there are going to be fireworks Saturday night. If you have animals that are not fond of them don’t forget to prepare for them. If your pet is severely affected then you may want to source some calmatives from your vet.
If they want to hide let them. As per other traumatic issues don’t coddle but let them do what they need to unless the behaviour is destructive.

Plus be on the look out for any animals that may have escaped their yards trying to get away from the noise. Don’try and catch scared animals. It will only stress them out more. Just take note then post in the lost/found pet pages any dogsyiu see running, photo if you can and location.
