Cowra Veterinary Centre has been proudly serving Cowra and surrounding regions since the 1950s, when the legendary Merv Foote first began providing veterinary care across western New South Wales. Now owned by Dr. Peter Launders, who joined in 2009 and took ownership in 2011, the practice continues its long tradition of professional and trusted care. As a mixed practice, we treat pets including dog

s and cats, as well as livestock such as cattle, sheep, and horses. Our services range from consultations, vaccinations, desexing, and microchipping to dental care, X-rays, surgery, and farm visits. Happy Anniversary to the baby vet that showed up to CVC a decade ago ready to earn her stripes in the veterinary world. In the meantime she’s become a wife, a mother and a valued member of the Cowra & surrounding community both in and out of the clinic. We would be lost without her! 🩺🐾🐴🐏💚

When it comes to small acts of kindness that go along way, our post operative text messages always prompt appreciation from our clients.
It can be nerve wracking for owners to have their pets dropped off to our clinic for both day surgery admissions or a more lengthy stay. Our nursing team will always take 5 minutes from their day to send through a photo and the reassuring “hi mum/dad, my procedure is all finished” text.
Sometimes the recovery pics are too cute not to share! ❤️‍🩹🥹

Our team & the essence of who we are so perfectly captured by

Beaming smiles, kids left to entertain themselves, a menagerie of animals to wrangle, 19 of 21 team members to coordinate, the occasional bit of chaos & a whole lot of mess behind the scenes.
We love what we do & support eachother in doing it. That’s our rural journey, and we’re so lucky to share it with those we do.
