This eastern brown was not in the best condition. I originally thought it was dead... There was no movement and it had wrinkled up skin.
It was very cold and usually the wrinkles mean dehydration.
All I could do was warm it up and keep it under observation for a while. It seemed to pick up a lot after a bit of heat.
Without a reptile vet in the area, it makes it hard to get snakes like this proper treatment. Hopefully it will be ok.

Weather may be cooling down but snakes are still active. This juvenile eastern brown was caught in the gutter out the front of Bunnings in Redfern Street, Cowra.

Something different. When is a snake not a snake? When it's a lizard with no legs.

This Striped Legless Lizard was removed from the halls of Bilyara Aged Care Facility.

Was a little awkward to get a good grip on this fella. He was a little wriggly.

Releasing the tiger snake removed from car yesterday. It was such a privilege to be able to safely remove and relocate this beautiful animal back in Bathurst.

I'm stoked. My first tiger snake!
A young woman on her way home from Bathurst had a run in with this tiger snake.

It came out from the centre console and started climbing onto the dash. She did well in this situation to not panic! She stopped the car and got out unharmed.

After a good hour and a half I finally got my hands on it.

Now to get it back over to Bathurst where it belongs!

After 2 trips over to Carcoar Public School, I finally got this eastern brown.
It eluded me the other day but this time he was in a drain with only 1 way out.... Past me!

I sat and waited for 45 minutes for it to slowly inch its way out before going for the grab. Safely relocated away from the school.
