Toormina High School is incredibly proud to announce that our Inclusive Education Unit has been recognised with an Excellence Award and named a national finalist in the Australian Education Awards – Special Education Unit of the Year.

This prestigious recognition celebrates the exceptional work undertaken by staff and students in delivering innovative, high-quality education programs that support students with additional needs to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

From NSW’s only HSC VET Hospitality course delivered on a Life Skills basis, to inclusive Textiles classes, community access programs, student-run coffee shops and the integration of support dogs, our IEU continues to create meaningful opportunities and positive outcomes for students.

Congratulations to our dedicated staff and amazing students on this incredible achievement. We are so proud to see our Inclusive Education Unit recognised among the very best in Australia! 👏
