I rescue, foster & rehome Maremmas. I accept dogs through local pounds, owner surrenders or lost/dumped dogs.

Storm had his first off lead outing today, in between much needed showers of rain 🥰 & was such a good boy. Thoroughly enjoyed a big romp around the paddock & was totally unfazed by introductions to Chiefy, Trinity the poddy & an uninvited Slinky the cat 😊
He's not quite ready for adoption yet but is coming along nicely 🙂

Meet Odin - our newest arrival from last week (I'd have posted him sooner but been busy injuring myself 😏), who was also lucky enough to have an owner that was dedicated to finding their dog a soft landing & drove him up to us from Toowoomba 😊

This guy won't be available for adoption any time soon - he is very reactive & will need more time in our low stimulus pen before moving forward. He is accepting things nicely so far but is going to need more time on his journey.

I must say, it's truly wonderful to see owners who find themselves in difficulty, willing to spend the time, effort & money to do best by their dog 🥰

In some good news, Kaya has gone on trial to a suitable home 🥰
So pleased for this girl who's been with us a long time & has so much to give a new family.....we've everything crossed that she fits in well but as with all our rescues, she always has a place here 😊

Wandering Maremma sighted near Surat, if you know anyone in that area (not far from Roma) can you please share - dog is close to the road.

Please don't attempt to catch or chase.

Please welcome Storm 🥰
We'll learn more about him as we go but his story is special - his young owners, after finding themselves unable to house him & we said we had room, drove him up to us.....from Brisbane. Yes, 16 hours by road away Brisbane. To do their best to give him a hopeful future even though they were heartbroken to let him go.
All dogs deserve that kinda love 💕

Happy Friday everyone, stay safe over the long weekend & may your dreams be as big as Wombie's 😊🥰

Ben has arrived safely at his new home......this little guy was harder to let go than most 🥰

He arrived when I'd only just lost Lennie, my heart was breaking & he reminded me of him so much - smaller stature but enormous heart, with the same wariness but so much sweetness underneath. He gave me much needed distraction & purpose when I just wanted to curl up & cry. You've a special place in our hearts Ben & I like to think we healed each other 💕

Quick group snap of most of the crew before Ben (far left) leaves us for his new home 🥰

Busy weekend for us & more updates to come 🙂

So pleased with these guys, all rescues from very different circumstance 🥰
They've all responded so well to consistency, opportunity & encouragement 😊
