🚨🐶 KENNEL COUGH 🐶🚨

We are currently seeing an increase in kennel cough cases in our local area.

Kennel cough is HIGHLY contagious and spreads very easily between dogs — especially at parks, daycare, boarding facilities, grooming salons, training classes, and even through shared air spaces.

🚩 symptoms may include, but not limited to:
• Dry persistent coughing or honking.
• Sneezing or nasal discharge
• Reduced energy levels
• Fever
• Loss of appetite

Always call for advice as it may not always be kennel cough.

🐾 While many healthy adult dogs recover well, kennel cough can become MUCH more serious in:
⚠️ Puppies
⚠️ Senior dogs
⚠️ Immunocompromised pets
⚠️ Dogs with underlying heart or respiratory conditions

In severe cases, it can progress to pneumonia and require intensive treatment.

🚫 IMPORTANT:
If your dog is coughing, please call us before entering for your appointment.

This helps us:
✔️ Protect vulnerable patients
✔️ Reduce spread within the clinic
✔️ Safely organise your pet’s appointment
