Are you setting your dog up to fail; to make mistakes & keep getting it wrong? Training foundation behaviour before adolescence, makes all the difference! These are skills that are set for life when you take time to teach recall, no jumping, manners around people & other animals.

You only have to spend a short time at the off lead dog park to see dogs habitually doing things that will become problem behaviours! Owners fob it off “he’s a puppy” they say 🙄 Not long until they’re spending hours trying to catch their dog! 😬

Teach your dog & manage their behaviour as soon as they start something that will become a problem. Puppies need guidance & training without too many distractions!

Dog trainers are everywhere! The attitude of a lot of people is that anyone can do it. You see websites with credentials listed as “have always loved dogs” or “understands dogs” 🙄 This blog explains the pitfalls of an unregulated industry ! Pls read and share. ❤

Our local City of Kingston councillor told me he did not believe ending our classes in Carrum was a community loss as people could just “go to another dog trainer”. There are NO other options for group classes delivered by a qualified trainer in the region! 🙁 Please sign the Petition (link in comments) if you would like classes again! 🙏🐾❤️

Please research dog trainers, ask questions & be aware of what may happen to your dog if methods are harsh. Call if you would like advice or a referral to a trainer near you 😍

Imagine explaining to someone that almost anyone can call themselves a dog trainer, yet those same people may be advising owners about fear, aggression, anxiety and welfare.
