This is Frank. He's been a regular of the Dash gang since more or less the beginning.

Last week was my last appointment with him as he and his family are moving out of my area 🥹

He's been great, a lovely little man with a great personality!

At the end of February, we lost our best girl Luna. Very sudden and unexpected, it absolutely broke us 💔

The house was quiet and sad for a period.

3 months ago today, we brought Stirling home. An unclaimed stray, estimated to be around 8 months old. It was quite clear he had been neglected and possibly abused but it was clear he just wanted to be a good boy for us.

The first few weeks were hard, however here is some of his journey so far:

The first time we went out without him, it was for 55 mins, we came back and he was barking, stressed, and panicked. Since then we have done a bit of training and currently he is comfortable at home on his own for 2 hours.

When we first took him for a walk, he was unsure of everything; bikes, people, dropped branches, and leaves. It took him over a week to feel comfortable to do his business. Now he loves it, sniffs everything, sits before crossing a road, wants pats from people, and wants to say hello to every dog. I don't think he will ever work out not all dogs can or want to say hello back.

He was unsure of toys, now he loves destroying anything that crinkles or squeaks. He loves a chew toy, carrying them around the house (Happy Staffy Co is a great brand). He has only just stopped us from fetching our own throws of the ball 😆.

He's not reacted to the vacuum before but always makes sure he is supervising to ensure it doesn't attack all of a sudden. He didn't like the mower or whipper snipper, although yesterday was the first time he was ok with them both whilst being outside.

He now knows his routine of meals, with waiting at his bowl or staring at you around that time. He likes a bit of carrot, bananna, and blueberries. He knows to sit and stay to be fed.

He has slowly grown into a more confident boy and no doubt the progress will continue.

Oh and he is officially part of the Dash gang but that's a work in progress too!
