“Think your pup can skip the salon in winter? Let’s clear the runway on that one.” 🐶❄️✈️
We hear it every year: “I’ll wait till it’s warmer to book a groom…”
But here’s the in-flight truth, skipping winter grooms can lead to matted coats, itchy skin, and damp fur that never quite dries (hello, trapped moisture 👋). Not exactly First Class comfort for your fur baby.
Here’s how to keep your pup’s coat winter-ready and wag-worthy:
🐾 Keep brushing between grooms - Those fluffy winter coats hide sneaky knots that turn into tangles fast. A quick brush = smoother landings.
🧴 Use a moisturising shampoo - Dry winter air isn’t just tough on your hands, it can dry out your pup’s skin too. Hydration = happy coat. Look for ingredients like oatmeal, aloe vera, or coconut oil (but skip anything heavily scented or made for humans).
🌬️ Watch for moisture build-up - Rainy walks? Wet patches? Blow-dry that belly! Damp fur left too long can cause irritation or even hot spots.
✂️ Stick to regular grooms - A tidy trim helps your pup’s coat stay breathable and manageable all season. Think of it as their Business Class refresh.
✈️ Pre-flight checks count - Ears, paws, and underarms can get grubby quick in winter. Keep an eye out for buildup and matting!
