Sheila is a beautiful Border Collie with brains, personality and so much love to give! She’s incredibly affectionate, super smart and ready to become someone’s loyal companion. 🥰

🐾 Has completed basic puppy obedience classes

🐾 Knows commands including sit, lay down, stay and outside

🐾 Loves car rides and adventures

🐾 Enjoys playing fetch and chasing her herding ball

Today our hearts are broken.

Reuben, one of our older boys who we rescued in 2024, has passed away. He was such a fighter. His first 10 years of life were just awful, but we find peace in that his last few years were full of happiness and love with a beautiful family.

The day we picked him up he absolutely reeked. We couldn’t get the smell out of our car for weeks. See Reuben had spent all his life chained in the back yard, because apparently he would jump the fence if he was let loose. But the reality was that Reuben weighed over 35kg and had a lot of medical issues, including arthritis. He also had severe sunburn on his nose from being outside all day every day. Maybe it was easier for them, maybe it was laziness, we will never know.

But we got you. And we loved you from the moment we saw you. We cleaned you up, had all of your medical work done, including letting you heal from the chain digging in to your neck. We did everything that we could so you were healthy. Healthy enough to find a beautiful life to live.

And then along came Kathy & Rob. People with hearts as big as Reuben’s and people who didn’t care what he looked like or what he needed, he was their boy from the moment they met him. And didn’t he love them. Farm life was good for this aging boy, running as best he could, riding in his tractor with dad – hanging on by his tail, supervising the fertilising of the paddocks, going on shopping trips to Bunnings, a warm bed by the fire in winter and a mum and dad who were devoted to him. What a life he was living.

But sadly, today we received the news that Reuben passed away. Early this morning he had a seizure and didn’t recover. His big heart just couldn’t cope with all the illness that had gone before. He passed in Kathy & Rob’s arms - in the arms of the first people who ever really loved him and in the home where he knew happiness and safety and love. As he passed he knew he was loved so deeply and will be missed terribly.

Reuben will now forever rest under his favourite tree on the property. Tractor rides will never be the same but every time they pass Reuben’s tree, there will be a little nod to the beautiful dog that was just so important, so loved and mattered so much.

We love you Reuben. Run free our boy. You will forever be in our hearts.

Welcome PATCH! A gorgeous male blue Merle - 8 months old - very very nervous - needs another friendly dog - looking for foster at the moment only - will be available for adoption after assessments. Currently located in the Caboolture area. Let us know if you would like to open your home to this little man. Available from this weekend.

We have been asked to help to rehome a little 18 week old BC puppy who is blind. ECHO will require a person with knowledge and experience in this area. He is currently located in Bundaberg but can be transported anywhere there is a person who can help him. This is not a foster situation, he needs a safe home where he will remain. He loves other dogs and will need a "guide" dog to be his eyes for him.

At just 8 months old, beautiful little Ellie should be enjoying everything life has to offer. Sadly, this sweet girl is incredibly shut down and needs someone special to help her discover just how wonderful life can be. 🥺❤️

Ellie isn’t looking for a busy household or someone expecting an instant best friend. She needs a quiet, calm and understanding home where she can decompress, build trust and learn that the world isn’t such a scary place.

* Someone willing to give her all the time and space she needs.
* A gentle soul who will show her kindness, compassion and all the beautiful things life has to offer.

Ellie doesn’t need a perfect home. She needs someone willing to show her what love feels like.
