💥 Bookings now available for November 💥

There was a huge interest for the Stay and Herd sessions, so they are also now available to book!

Stay and Herd sessions are designed so that you drop off your dog and I work on your dog’s herding and obedience training without you having to be present. This allows your dog to be fulfilled while you have a break or attend to other commitments.

If you have not used our services before, we recommend you attend our group classes or private lessons first to assess your dog’s suitability for Stay and Herd sessions.

What will your dog’s session involve?
✔️ Working dog essentials - lead manners, tethering and general manners around other dogs
✔️ Sheep and/or cattle herding lessons tailored to your dogs experience and training level. PLEASE NOTE: Your dog’s suitability for cattle training is at my discretion
✔️I will send photos/videos of your dog’s session

💥UPDATE: Stay and Herd sessions are now available to book from November!

Gauging interest for “Stay and Herd” sessions

Since pausing some of our services, I’ve still had many requests for day train type services. I’m looking at opening up a modified version called “Stay and Herd”. This service would involve dropping your dog off for a 3-hour sheep/cattle herding and obedience session including lead training and tethering. Maximum of 4 dogs. Comment below if this a service you would want.

Akheron Working Dogs presents two purebred working Kelpie males available for stud.

Gentleapproach Cerberus is a 7 year old well built, strong and solid dog. He can work sheep and goats but his speciality is cattle. He is hard biting, powerful and forceful. Predominantly bites the nose with the occasional front foot and heel. Has a good off switch and a Labrador like nature. Carries for cream coat colour.

Thornbill Odysseus is a 2 year old athletic, solid dog. He works sheep, goats and cattle in the paddock and yards. Backs and barks on sheep and nose bites cattle. Has a good off switch and a sweet nature. Has sired a litter previously showing great temperament and workability. Carries for red and dilute coat colours.

Both boys are Embark and Dog Breeding Science working dog panel tested and Working Kelpie Council registered.
