Many of our clients will be aware that this Christmas Eve marks the last day that our practice will be open.
We would like to thank our valued clients for chosing us as your Vet care team and for trusting us with your beloved fur kids. We will miss you all.
I (Katherine) would also like to publicly thank our team members, past and present, for all the hard work they have put into the clinic through all the highs, the lows, twists and turns that is veterinary medicine. You have made a difference to so many through the care you have given to their pets. Thank you.

With our hottest time of the year approaching, here is some useful information regarding heat stress and your pet.

Heat Stress can be fatal, unlike humans, most animals can’t sweat to reduce body heat. Instead, dogs and cats lose heat by panting but there is a limit as to how much they can cool themselves down.

Kedi (Turkish for cat, and the name of an enjoyable movie about the street cats of Istanbul), is a 3 year old Ginger Tabby girl recently adopted from the rspca by Dr Owen Steinhardt and his wife Amanda after a tough early life. She now enjoys working from home with her mum, sleeping on blankets and playing with fish toys at 2am. Kedi is also extremely cute and small (3.6kg!) and loves a good chin rub and watching pedestrians and dogs out the window.

This is Buddy, he popped in to see the team today, have a check up, receive pats and treats.
His looks are deceiving, Buddy looks about 7, but is actually 15! He has been coming to see us since he was 12 weeks old. What a champ!🐾

The team at Greencross Vets Inala love welcoming new patients into the practice. We recently met Layla Mackenzie a 12-week-old Dachshund who stole our hearts when she was here for her puppy vaccinations. She is the perfect age to join puppy preschool and set the foundation for best behaviour! Great news puppy parents, Greencross Vets Inala will be commencing Best Behaviour Puppy Preschool with Yvonne in the coming months. If you are thinking of adding a new member to your family this year, then stay tuned!

Meet Maggie, a nearly 15-year-old Cocker Spaniel who is looking very pleased with her pearly whites after attending her post dental check-up. Maggie's owners had noticed she had some halitosis (bad breath) and were keen for her to have a dental procedure performed. She had a thorough health check and her Healthy Pets Plus pre-anaesthetic blood test to make sure that she was able to undergo anaesthetic. Those results gave her the green light to undergo an anaesthetic, even as an elderly pet. Under the care of Dr Owen and Vet Nurse Tylisha, she had teeth extracted and remaining teeth polished. Now her breath smells great and she is a lot more comfortable!
