Nieuw blog! (in Dutch 🇳🇱)

Het vinden van een goed hondentuig kan best lastig zijn, zeker met alle verschillende meningen die er op dit moment over bestaan. In dit blog kijk ik samen met jou naar alle informatie over hondentuigen, inclusief wat de wetenschap hierover zegt. Zo krijg jij een helder en eerlijk beeld over de huidige kennis, zodat jij zelf een goede keuze kunt maken voor jouw hond. Geheel gratis om te lezen, niet gericht op verkopen, maar op het welzijn van onze honden, mét verrassende resultaten. 🐕

I do not want to admit it, but these Max & Molly raincoats are one of my most used items this summer 🌧️

And when I have to use a raincoat, I rather do so by combining functionality and style. It has two leash openings, reflective details and comes in 4 amazing colors!

Ps. This raincoat is perfect for dogs with long hair as there is no zipper or velcro included! 🙌🏻

If you would ask me which toy is the most underrated in the shop right now, I would say the ZippyTuff Squeakie Ring. Sure, it does not have a cute shape or a funny face. But dogs really do not care about that. They care about one thing: is it fun to play with?

This toy is super simple but seriously fun. My dog picks it out often. According to him, it is ranked second, right after the Hol-ee Roller. Both these toys are not made to look pretty, but to actually interest dogs. So if you are looking for a strong, affordable and fun toy to play tug with, this one is a winner. 🩵

And according to , the fact that it comes in teal is also very important 😉 (also available in pink)

Training bags, but make it look good! 🌸

This year I’ve been focusing on finding the perfect training bags for the shop, because let’s be honest, everyone likes something different. So I have added a bunch of different styles from (small) brands I love.
Like this amazing sakura bag from , because who says you can’t look good while training? 😉

Strong but gentle on the teeth ✨

When I got my first dog, at first I didn’t think twice about the toys I gave him. I didn’t know that some materials in certain dog toys can actually wear down a dog’s teeth over time.

That’s why I’m now super careful about the toys I choose, both for my own dog and for Howly Design. I only use toys I believe are safe and kind to their teeth. The Retorn Rub Bite is a great example and probably one of my favorites: durable enough for tug-of-war, but soft and flexible enough for a good chew session without the dental damage. And most importantly: without any harmful or chemical ingredients as it just made from natural resin of trees. 🌳 This Retorn toy is available in many sizes, so very suitable for both the tiny and big pups.🐶

The first article shares my experience with a DNA test on my dog. In this blog I will share how it is done and I will share the results I received!

In the future, you can look forward to blogs from professionals in the dog world, interviews with dog owners/influencers, my own experiences, and more information about our products.
