After a super busy year and massive growth recently, I have finally reached a new milestone where I will no longer be taking new customers for consults/lessons and board and trains for a hot minute, it's been hard for just one bloke to keep up with

It's really difficult to know what 'enough' looks like as a business owner starting from scratch. I've now reached new level where I will now be focusing primarily on quality over quantity, as there are only so many dogs I can work within a week while still making time for myself, my amazingly patient partner and our dogs

I will be making a waiting list on my website for anyone who really wants to train with me specifically and will take on new customers as space becomes available. For anyone who needs immediate training, I will be referring to some other highly skilled trainers that I know and trust will do a good job helping your dog

The Doggy School Bus is still pumping business as usual and looking for dogs, so any enquiries for that will run through either myself or Jade at .com.au

While I feel somewhat guilty and weird about not being able to work every single dog in the world 24/7, I am also celebrating an unfamiliar success that is the result of a crazy amount of hard work, sacrifice, constant learning and a couple million new grey hairs on my head

I'm not going anywhere, I'm just pumping the brakes for the first time since starting while I smash out and help all of my current clients

Love ya's heaps and thank every single one of you for the support along the way! 🙏

Recap of the first 5 days with my board and train Finn. We're tackling some pretty gnarly emotional issues and severe resource guarding

Finn has been one of my longest assessments that I've done so far before coming up with a training plan, but I'm confident after getting to know him that we will be on the road to success pretty soon

To me it's really important to see the behaviours before training them, as his behaviour isn't being driven by a lack of obedience, but moreso a lack of control and self-control with underlying big feelings often seen in cattle dogs

Resource guarding can be really tricky and temeramental to work through, but I'm pretty confident we are going to see some big changes over the next few weeks

Stay tuned

Here is a recap of the last couple of days with Mocha as we continued to focus on off leash freedom to help burn his pent-up energy

We are almost at a stage where we can start correcting his separation behaviour as it's ineffective and not fair to do this before providing him with proper expressions and outlets

His off leash skills are great, and he is learning how to settle on his own, so as we move forward in his training using tools, we have a high likelihood of him leaving his separation anxiety behind

Big thanks to .com.au and her pooch Pepper for giving us a tour of the doggy farm and letting Mocha burn off some steam and get some sniffs in

Now it's time to tackle the big issues with Mocha in the next few days, so stay tuned!
