Wanted to do a huge thanks again to Equine Miracle Robyn Larson-Shelton for generously running her relaxation and de stress clinic and mini treatments for our horses here last Saturday.
We once again learned some very useful tips and exercises to help relax our horses and improve our connection with them. Thanks Louise who managed to grab a few photos - I was enjoying it so much I forgot to take any 😢.
Thanks also to the ladies who made the effort to attend.

So proud of this lady- she has had her horses for a year - and her dedication to forming a partnership with them above all else is admirable. We do fortnightly lessons where it shows that she puts in the homework in between.
Just wanted to do a shout out to recognise the slow, hard and muddy work!!

Friday 8th & Sunday 10th August obstacle days will have to be CANCELLED…. I’m so so sorry and disappointed- but it’s kind of becoming a ‘Mid North Coast’ kind of thing lately. I need to preserve the obstacle area ground and after last weekends 110ml rain and the extra predicted for tomorrow and Saturday it’s become inevitable. We will still be going ahead with the Equine Miracle Robyn Larson-Shelton clinic day on Saturday though as this will be using the arena and undercover shed area for theory etc. I will post details below again if you’re interested..come along and spend the morning learning how to prepare yourself to connect with your horse. Again - because we have lost some parking areas for floats due to wet ground….. you can still come with or without your horse, learn the techniques that you can use at home to help with your connection.

Our next obstacle days are planned for Friday the 8th August..but I will be making a CHANGE and instead of the Saturday- will be running the 2nd one on Sunday the 10th August . The reason for the change is to incorporate the availability of Equine Miracle Robyn Larson-Shelton who has very kindly offered her services and a mini clinic at discounted prices as a ‘post flood’ benefit to our area.
Below I will post the information in photos of what Robyn has proposed. PLEASE NOTE. For the full premium bodywork sessions on your horse - Robyn can also do them on the Thursday or Friday 7&8 August. Discounted pricing is $120 if you bring the horse here or $130 if she were to travel a small distance.
Options also if you’re attending the Friday or Sunday obstacle days here and want to incorporate the Saturday clinic - for a very small fee we can accommodate overnight camping with your horse to save travel time.

Today the sun was shining, the wind was gone and everything seemed right with the world ❤️
Lovely to see everyone after having to cancel our last sessions, and also lovely to be able to welcome some new people into our group as well. Thanks so much for visiting - hope you enjoy the photos.

Hey we sure got lucky today. Clear blue skies with some light gusty wind.
Today gave us a great challenge to still work with our horses while acknowledging that they were a little more heightened today with wind, and we had to make allowances for that to be able to stay safe but still participate and enjoy the morning. Again well done to everyone who came, i was so proud to watch everyone helping their horses to settle and relax, and then to go about enjoying being out socialising again, after a long period of pretty horrible weather.
So lovely to see you all - thanks for coming 😊

Well here’s hoping the weather gods are kind…it appears the winds have eased…we are all set for a fun couple of days of horse play and socialisation for both 2 legged and 4 🥰 ☕️ I’m excited to see all who are attending tomorrow and Saturday morning 🤩

Next Friday / Saturday the 4th & 5th July, we will try for our next obstacle morning tea days.
If you can message or comment that you are coming that would be appreciated. Obviously this will be dependent on hoping we don’t get another deluge of rain this coming week 🤞. Really really hoping we can get together with our horses next week.

What an amazing past weekend we had. Thursday Friday we spent brushing up on all things ‘Cowboy Dressage’ with Tanja Kraus Horsemanship at her clinic which was amazing as always.
Then Saturday/Sunday riding at the gathering. Wow I was so proud to see our girls, and everyone, trusting their partnership horses and their confidence growing with each test that they rode. First timers Angie/Bandit, Helen/Ned & Kylie/Percy - you guys rode amazing tests. Knowing what each of these ladies were personally trying to overcome and achieve made my heart swell with pride💓.
Then the final icing on the cake - my gorgeous girl Queenie managed to stay on task long enough to get her very first ‘High Points Champion’
award. We have only been back riding since early February as we were dealing with some soreness issues…so I was so surprised and honoured to get this award and though it’s early days in her training I’m excited for the possibilities.
Thanks to Natalie Piper for putting this show together through Hastings Performance & Quarter Horse Club- I know everyone that attended from our local area was so appreciative to be able to come and try this amazing sport without having to commit to a long float trip.
Well done to everyone involved 🤩

This coming Friday the 11th and Saturday the 12th April will be our next couple of obstacle mornings. Come join us for another fun casual horse play morning. Start time 9am - cost $35 includes morning tea.

What an amazing clinic we had here this past weekend. THANK YOU Equine Miracle - Robyn Larson-Shelton - for sharing your amazing knowledge of Equine Biomechanics and techniques to help strengthen and maintain our horses movement - it was invaluable. Also to the fantastic group of ladies who attended - a huge thank you too - Without you we couldn’t have convinced Robyn to make the long trip up here to our area.
Clinics like this are so enjoyable when we , (despite what the weather throws our way), come together as a group and enjoy immersing ourselves in the quest for more knowledge. Robyn - we are keen to have you back here at Together Horsemanship 🤩
