So glad you guys made it out here today - we did manage to get out for some obstacle fun with good weather - just cut short by about 15 minutes when the rain couldn't hold off any longer - great excuse to get an early coffee break. Thanks so much for coming - big extra thanks to Brian for helping out with emergency tyre repairs (and Danny when he got back as well).

This coming Friday the 11th and Saturday the 12th April will be our next couple of obstacle mornings. Come join us for another fun casual horse play morning. Start time 9am - cost $35 includes morning tea.

What an amazing clinic we had here this past weekend. THANK YOU Equine Miracle - Robyn Larson-Shelton - for sharing your amazing knowledge of Equine Biomechanics and techniques to help strengthen and maintain our horses movement - it was invaluable. Also to the fantastic group of ladies who attended - a huge thank you too - Without you we couldn’t have convinced Robyn to make the long trip up here to our area.
Clinics like this are so enjoyable when we , (despite what the weather throws our way), come together as a group and enjoy immersing ourselves in the quest for more knowledge. Robyn - we are keen to have you back here at Together Horsemanship 🤩

Robyn Larson Shelton from Equine Miracle will be here next weekend (29/30 March) for her clinic ‘Introduction to Equine Biomechanics’.
Robyn has advised she will be available to do individual bodywork sessions on the Friday (28th March).
These treatments are for 1.5 hours and bookings are essential. Cost would be $130 if you’re able to bring your horse here to Together Horsemanship, or $150 depending on travel distance.
This is a great opportunity to get a quality treatment for your horse. Please contact myself or Robyn for more information.

It was a ‘Standard’…bred kind of weekend here at Together Horsemanship last weekend.
We had a couple of free early mornings so Bec (who has been patiently bringing her horse along), and myself, decided to beat the heat and have a couple of hours working in the cool of both mornings to see if we couldn’t get a ‘first sit’..on our amazing Standardbreds.
Bec’s horse Roger has come such a long way - from a dogger bound soul to her beloved partner…I could not be more proud of the work Bec has put into Roger’s well being and taking the time it takes for him to feel comfortable in accepting every new thing that he gets introduced to. The smile on Bec’s face when she got her first sit on her wonderful boy …and the tears of joy we both shared were equaled with seeing Roger accept and trust the process.
My beautiful Gypsy girl has found her way here about a month ago after being unraced but used as an embryo transfer mare for a few years. Thankfully a lovely girl at the stud she was on, recognised the kind soul of this mare..and when she returned a ‘not pregnant’ test…she put the call out for anyone wanting to take on this beautiful unstarted mare. I have long been an advocate for the amazing temperament of the Standardbred …so decided that this would be my first.
And so it was that Bec and Roger- and Myself and Gypsy …had the most amazing weekend getting our ‘first rides’ done 🥰

Hey there- so dates for next obstacle days so far locked in are: Friday April 11/ Saturday April 12…. Friday May 23/ Saturday May 24…. Friday July 4/ Saturday July 5……FridayAugust 8/Saturday August9

Cost is $35 which includes morning tea.
Start time 9am. Work with horses for 2 to 2 1/2 hours..then morning tea get together if you like ☕️ 🍰.

Apologies for the late photos from yesterday....I was a bit 'challenged' trying to work out how to get the pics from new camera onto my MacBook 😜🙃...anyway here they are. I really want to thank everyone for embracing the philosophy here -that we treat these obstacle days as we would when taking our children to 'play dates'...an opportunity for the horses to go at their own pace, and choose where they will explore with no pressure, and where they can enjoy their owners leadership as partners.....AND then, that we get to enjoy each others company as well. So lovely to catch up with everyone as always - Old faces (not literally!!!) and New. I again say THANK YOU for visiting....I enjoy it so much

The shade in our obstacle area really plays with an ability to get great photos …but my goodness we were lucky to have it as it was a very pleasant morning amongst the trees with our horses. Today’s focus was on letting the ponies ‘play’ instead of asking for too much of anything. So here’s a few pics of our horse play date morning. Thanks for coming everyone 😊

Raising confident babies 🥰
I was just giving all the horses a ‘walk thru’ over some of the simple obstacles today as I was enjoying a free morning off lessons as we get back into working mode. While I did all the grown ups, I let Romeo have a free wander around. No need to ask him for anything- proud Momma moment as I watched him confidently explore and mimic what we had all been doing…simple as that!! Promoting curiosity in safe/non stressful environments is key 💓
