Jemima gets her nails trimmed every 5-6 weeks. Most if my regular nail trims come in every 6-8 weeks: have you checked your cats nails lately? Outdoor or very active cats may not need this service often or at all but please check them now and then: as your cats get older and less active their nails can produce extra keratin resulting in thicker and longer claws. And you'd be surprised how often I've cut back nails that are close to the paw pads, and even pierced through the skin as they grow in a circle causing discomfort and pain (see photo in first comment). It you never need a cat groomer that's great, but it's up to you to monitor and if necessary take action on the health of your fluffy friends πππ»
