It is a tough life according to Drift.π Must do lots of resting and sleeping on mum's bed after a Vet visit.
Huge shout out and thank you to Dr Ambre & the lovely Vet Student (Lucy) and all the staff Kudah Vet clinic. π₯°We popped down today to check out some lameness Drift is having.
Drift surprises me all the time when he does have to go to the Vets. That is why I truly value the relationship i have with not only the Vet (Dr Ambre) but all the staff at the clinic too. Today before I even got a chance to ask him to do if. He dragged me inside, no loose lead happening to get in there I can tell you ππΎπΎand promptly plopped himself onto the scales...I guess the value of rewarding him I have done previously and the context really has paid off.
No photos or video of him in the actual consult today...but he did show off all the relevant exercises he has been learning for these visits. Some of them were, nose touch, settle, lie on side, chin, get into left or right position next to me just to name a few and he could do them with Ambre & Lucy as well as me, which helps too when needed. Relationship building with your Vet/Clinic Staff is just so helpful and important.
I really can't say it enough that it is so important to do "happy Vet visits", go in and just weigh your dog/puppy, teach simple relevant skills so it is pleasant for not only you & your dog but the Vet & relevant staff too. Not just when you need to go.
