Induction of general anaesthesia in the horse presents a critical point in the flow of anaesthesia. At Willinga Park Vet Hospital, our team works collaboratively to provide the highest standard of care to our horses during this high risk moment with careful planning to ensure the safety and comfort of our patient. Ultimately, ensuring a smooth transition from standing to the surgery table.

This fortnight we had the pleasure of hosting Claire, from UQ, for her final year equine placement.

At Willinga Park Vet Hospital, we value providing students with the opportunity to develop day one skills and advance their knowledge. Claire is pictured here performing abdominal ultrasonography as part of our colic tutorial. Claire also participated in our weekly teaching rounds presenting on a case she saw during her time at the hospital.
