Buddies By The Bay Buddies By The Bay is a dog walking business located in the Bayside suburbs of Melbourne. I have Vet nursing experience and a love for all animals.

My name is Tegan, I'm 27 and I am dedicated to providing the best care to your pets. Buddies by the bay offers 30 minute dog walks for $20 and $30 for an hour long walk, to satisfy bigger, more active dogs.
*Up to 3 small dogs or 2 larger dogs per walk. For pets that require a bit of extra love and attention I offer 1 hour home visits which include a walk, feeding and play time. Price: $30 for one

visit or $45 for the two visits on the same day. This means that your beloved pet can stay in the comfort of their own home while you are away.
*Longer or overnight stays available upon request. For more information or to organise a walk or home visit please message me I will respond as soon as possible.

Last Wednesday, our buddy Jasper passed away suddenly at age 11 😭 Jasper was a very special boy to me and of course his loving family and I want to send my deepest condolences to them during this difficult time ❤️

Writing this post breaks my heart 💔 and finding the words has been hard, however I found it really nice to put my feelings into a letter to Jasper. So here it goes.

Jasper. We met 10 years ago when I had an idea and I wondered if anyone wanted me to walk their dogs. I put flyers out and advertised online. Surprisingly, people contacted me, one of them being your mum. She told me she had a 1 year-old dalmatian and I thought to myself how cool is that! I had always loved the idea of dalmatians but had never seen one, so I was very excited to meet you. And OMG you were so cute and very handsome. I couldn't wait to get to know you and have lots of fun together and well... The rest is history.

We went to so many places together, we met lots of new friends, and we made an endless amount of memories. And when I look back I remember that you were always by my side. You were a needy boy who loved cuddles and kisses and you'd do anything for a treat! You loved your buddies, and they loved you too. It was a joy to watch you play; you learnt to fetch, to frolic in water, to play wrestle and just socialise so well, even though you were cautious at first.

There will never be enough words to say how much you mean to me and to describe how important our time together was, so I'll wrap it up with lots of photos and these final words...

I'm so happy we had over 10 years together but I was hoping we had more time and that I didn't have to say goodbye to you yet.
I will miss you so much and so will your buddies.
You will be with me on every dog walk forever.

I hope you see Nuddles in heaven, the thought of you too being reunited makes me smile.
