He has trained over 200 winners which includes 3 Albury Cups, the 2023-24 SDRA Country Championships Qualifiers. Albury based trainer Ron Stubbs, has recently returned to training after a break of 20 years. He currently has a small team of horses and is looking to grow. Ron's previous successes include wins in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, The Albury Gold Cup and approximately 300 individual wins.

During his absence from racing he continued his involvement with horses through dressage, show jumping and eventing.

A SMILING ELLA BENT SALUTES WITH BRIAL ROSE!

It was hard not to smile today as our in-form apprentice Ella Bent put on a clinic with BRIAL ROSE. This Denman mare has building into her campaign nicely, and with the finishing touches applied by Albury’s master trainer they were off and gone.

SAVAHAY AND BENT COMBINE AT NARRANDERA!

It was an astute ride by our stable apprentice Ella Bent who saved ground and went whoosh. It’s never easy to find the best going on these rain affected winter tracks, but this wasn’t an issue as class prevailed. This is win number 3 for Savahay who continues to progress through the grades with style.

BIANCO VILANO REUNITES WITH SCHILLER!

With everyone watching the rain gauges in NSW we have plotted a pathway for BIANCO VILANO to return to town. He is hot off the Albury/Wagga Cup double, and is looking to take out the Listed Lord Mayors Cup over 2000m. This race sets up beautifully with the Queensland Racing Carnival in full swing, and our evergreen 7YO will be right in this.

Tune in on Saturday at Rosehill Gardens as our stable star gets sent out again as the 26/1 outsider.

We have a lovely off-the-track thoroughbred gelding available, free to a good home. He is beautifully conformed, stands approximately 16.3 to 17 hands high, brown/black in colour, with no blemishes and is 100% sound.

Temperament-wise, he can be a little forward in his work, and we would recommend an intermediate rider. He is good to shoe, floats and travels well, although he can be inclined to rush off the float.

He has previously jumped cavalettis and small poles early in his campaign with no issues at all. He is athletic, a lovely mover, and presents as a versatile horse for the right person — unfortunately he is just too slow for the racetrack.
