Babushka’s Pride brakes through for her first win in style at Albury today, taking out the Johnsons MME Country Boosted 1400m Maiden Handicap with a dominant victory by over four-lengths.
With race fitness on her side and a terrific ride from Pierre Boudvillain, it was a fantastic team effort from Rob and the stable. She travelled nicely throughout and let down strongly over the concluding stages.
She’s a filly we’ve always believed would continue to improve as she steps up in distance, and today’s performance certainly suggested there’s more to come.
It was also a particularly rewarding result for part-owner Darrel Blyton, who has been a valued part of the team for more than 15 years and, as many around town would agree, happens to sell the best horse manure going around too.

What a fantastic result today in the JBS Australia - Holbrook Presidents Cup Benchmark 45 Handicap (1400m) at Holbrook Racecourse.
Paralia was outstanding, putting it all together and making it back to back wins. He travelled beautifully throughout and showed great determination to get the job done.
A big thanks to Nick Heywood who gave him a terrific ride and perfectly timed when it mattered most.
Special mention to Mimi the lucky charm who was there to cheer him home. Pretty special to share these country wins together at such a great local meeting. Days like this are what racing is all about!

A recent tried purchase, Paralia, having just his second start for the stable, won his maiden in style at Tumut today over 1400 metres with Milos Bunjevac in the saddle.

Foremans Gully was too strong, taking out the Mortgage Finance Solutions BM62 Handicap (1300m) in great style at Wodonga today.
An extra special moment as our stable apprentice Faith Collins rides her FIRST WINNER!
Faith has worked incredibly hard for this - years of dedication, commitment, and quiet determination - and it’s so rewarding to see it all come together. That smile says absolutely everything!
