Well, we have the tick of approval, it’s official. ✅
Lock it in your calendars for Friday 18th & Saturday 19th September. 🗓️
Our annual ‘Ride for Angel Flight’ weekend is back for 2026 and we can’t wait to see you all. 🫵
As always we will have live music both nights, bar and food. Camping and entry is free so come one, come all and roll out your swag, pitch a tent or park up your van. 🏕️
Auctions and raffles on both Friday and Saturday night with the evenings entertainment starting around 5pm each night, bar open from 3pm. 🍻
Cash is king as phone service is minimal and no guarantees on eftpos💰
Bring your wallets and maybe even your neighbours and let’s see what community spirit looks like 🇦🇺 and let’s raise some much needed $$ for Angel Flight Australia. ✈️
Don’t forget if you have a horse you can join the ride itself traversing some of the most beautiful countryside Woolooga has to offer🐴
There will be smoko ☕️ and lunch 🍔 available on the ride, again bring cash 🤠
It should be a comfortable distance too for those who are not here to win the Quilty cup, but long enough to make some memories 📸 before heading back to camp for a well deserved beverage🍹

💜🐴 A Special Milestone 🐴💜

One of our wonderful clients Ellie has been part of the Discovery Coast Equine Connections family for over two years, and this week they brought their little brother Wolf along to experience Equine Assisted Learning for the very first time. Watching siblings share these special moments with our horses is something truly heartwarming and reminds us how the connections built here often grow beyond the individual and become part of the whole family. 💜

Between sessions, our horses made the most of the beautiful winter sunshine with a swim in the dam. Seeing them relaxed, playful, and simply enjoying being horses is just as important as the work they do. Their wellbeing comes first, and happy, content horses create the safe and genuine connections that make every session so special. 🌊☀️

We feel incredibly grateful to walk alongside our clients as they grow in confidence, build trust, and create memories that last for years. These are the moments that make everything we do so worthwhile. 💜

Niomi has shown outstanding growth in her connection, developing beautiful energy awareness, calm communication, and thoughtful timing. It has been wonderful to watch her confidence grow as she learns to guide with feel rather than force.

Her ability to regulate her own energy has created some truly special moments, with Whiskey responding willingly and choosing to stay connected throughout the session. These are the kinds of partnerships built on trust, respect, and understanding.

💜🐴 Our Term 3 EAL Program Is Full… But You Haven’t Missed Out! 🐴💜

While our regular Term 3 sessions are now full, we still have a couple of casual INTRO SESSIONS available during the school holidays for anyone wanting to experience Discovery Coast Equine Connections for the first time.

We also have a limited number of openings for those wanting to strengthen connections - OWN HORSE CONNECTION SESSIONS - Build a stronger bond and deeper understanding with your horse through liberty based groundwork, natural horsemanship and relationship-based sessions. 💫

Whether you’re looking to improve trust and communication, work through training challenges such as float loading, catching, leading, confidence, or groundwork, or simply enjoy a better connection with your horse, sessions are tailored to suit you and your horse’s individual needs.

💜🐴 Connections That Keep Growing 🐴💜

One of the most special parts of Discovery Coast Equine Connections is seeing the connections that grow far beyond our regular sessions.

It always means so much when our clients and their families take the time to come along to local horse events, watch their favourite horses, and cheer us on from the sidelines.

At the recent Bundaberg & District Extreme Cowboy Racing Do It For Dolly event, Gemma and her mum came along dressed in blue and joined us in supporting such an important cause. Seeing familiar faces in the crowd and sharing the day together made it even more meaningful. 💙

Last weekend, Taleah and her mum stopped by to watch us compete in Ranch Sorting, say hello to the horses, and offer their support. It was wonderful to spend time together outside of our usual sessions and share another part of our horse journey.

We were also incredibly excited to see Ayda recently compete in her very first event at the Miriam Vale Rodeo, taking part in her first-ever barrel race. It was such a thrilling achievement, and we couldn’t have been prouder of her confidence and bravery to step into the arena and give it a go. ✨

Another thing that brings us so much joy is watching our clients continue their horse journeys beyond our gates. We have now had several clients transition from learning with our horses to working with horses of their own as three families have now welcomed horses into their lives. Being part of those journeys and watching confidence, skills, and relationships continue to grow is truly special.

Moments like these remind us that Discovery Coast Equine Connections is about so much more than horses. It’s about relationships, community, encouragement, confidence, and celebrating each other’s achievements—both in and out of the paddock.

A special thank you to Gemma and her mum, Taleah and her mum, the Stone family, Ayda and her family, and all of our wonderful clients and supporters. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your journey. Seeing our clients excited to watch the horses they know and love, cheering each other on, achieving personal goals, and continuing their horse adventures is something we truly treasure. 💜

💜🐴 International Men’s Health Week 🐴💜

This week we’re shining a light on the importance of men’s mental health and wellbeing.

Too many men feel the pressure to stay strong, keep pushing through, and face life’s challenges alone. But asking for support isn’t a sign of weakness — it’s a sign of strength.

At Discovery Coast Equine Connections, we see the incredible difference that connection, time in nature, and interactions with horses can make. Horses offer a calm, honest, and non-judgemental space where people can simply be themselves.

To help raise awareness and support the men in our community, we are offering 3 FREE sessions for males who may be doing it tough and could benefit from spending time with our horses.
