As this is one of the most common questions we receive each day, we hope the information below helps explain the situation and answers your questions.

For egg-laying chickens, a layer feed containing a minimum of 17% crude protein is recommended. This protein level is formulated to provide the essential amino acids, including lysine and methionine, required for consistent egg production and maintaining healthy body weight.
During moulting, chickens have increased protein requirements due to the growth of new feathers. Supplementing their diet with a protein additive such as Egg Booster can help increase overall protein intake, supporting feather regrowth and assisting birds through the molting period.
