📍Case of the Day – Bengal Cat with Chronic Skin Issues 🐾

Meet our 5-year-old Bengal patient who has been struggling with chronic skin problems for quite some time, with no lasting resolution despite various treatments. 😿

Today, we performed a comprehensive dermatological work-up in our clinic, including:
🔬 Skin scraping
🧲 Tape impressions
💡 Wood’s lamp examination

Based on our microscopic findings, we diagnosed Microsporum canis dermatophytosis – a fungal skin infection that’s also zoonotic (transmissible to humans).

⚠️⚠️Hello everybody
Sometimes animals can’t show pain like we do – but their body always speaks.
As a veterinarian, here are 4 warning signs that your dog or cat may not be feeling well:

1️⃣ Lethargy:
If your pet is unusually tired, sleeps more than usual, or lacks interest in playing or going for walks, it could be a sign of infection, fever, or something more serious.

2️⃣ Loss of appetite:
When a dog or cat suddenly stops eating or eats very little, it’s never normal. It might be digestive discomfort, stress, or underlying disease.

3️⃣ Depressed or withdrawn behavior:
Pets who seem sad, hide more, or show less interaction with humans could be in emotional or physical distress. In dogs, it may look like being “down” or even trembling.

4️⃣ Lack of grooming (cats especially):
Cats are usually clean animals. If your cat is no longer grooming itself, seems greasy, or has matted fur, it may be feeling unwell or in pain.

🔎 If you notice one or more of these signs, don’t wait. Bring your pet for a check-up. Early intervention can make a big difference. 🩺💙

Sot ju prezantojme nje tjeter rast te bllokimit urinar ne macoke.
I ndjekur diku tjeter per 48 ore nuk ishte diagnostikuar shkaku vertet, sot macoku rrezikonte jeten sepse kishte 48 ore pa urinuar fare.
Renkonte dhe qante pa fund, menjehere iu nenshtrua ultrazz urologjike ku u verejten kristale qe kishin bllokuar totalisht veziken urinare.
Pas nderhyrjes tone macoku tashme po e merr veten.
