To everyone that put a little something into the donation box, Thank you!

Thank you Skyla, Anne Craft and Gill Bruce for being our counting machines this month. A few $1's that were donatated, belonged in the ICU according to Wilbert 😂😂 . We'll ask some kind American to take them back for a state burial 😂

The Twala Trust Animal Sanctuary, Harare SPCA and The Friend Animal Foundation each receive 274usd, 10zig and this month the 20l fuel coupons go to Friends Animal Foundation.

Bird of the Month: Common Moorhen 🪶

You might’ve spotted this shy water bird paddling near the dam at Wagzone. With its dark feathers, red forehead shield, and bright yellow beak tip, the Common Moorhen is easy to recognise once you know what to look for.

They’re usually seen gliding low in the water or quietly foraging near the edges. Unlike ducks, moorhens have long toes made for walking across reeds and floating vegetation — pretty clever for a bird that spends so much time in the water.

Keep an eye out next time you’re here — they’re quiet but curious.
