We hear you are in the market for a large breed dog and we think you have to consider the below factors before going ahead with your mission.
1. HOW WAS THE DOG BRED: The apple does not fall far from the tree. You want to do some background check of the dam and sire of the pup you intended to buy and if possible the grandsire and grand dam. Observing the parents can give you tangible idea of what your puppy’s adult personality, trainability, and energy level will be like. You also get to see if the adult dogs have any health issues then decide if you are happy to proceed should these issues be passed down to your puppy.
2. ARE YOU ABLE TO RAISE THIS DOG: Most people think being able to feed a dog equates to being able to raise one and thats inaccurate. Being able to feed a dog is just as important (in my opinion) as being able to train the dog. Training does not necessarily have to be paying loads of money to an expert. It can simply be you spending enough time a day with your puppy to observe them, correct the behavior you dont want but at the same time building a relationship. Remember, you only get one shot at raising your dog.
